No matter how much I might have done things differently, I hate to see people spending years of their life invested into something with no returns.
You can bet that others like Gary Peake went to work with the hope of restoring Amiga just as much as we want it restored.. I'm sure all who worked/work at A inc never wanted to be in this situation..
Sure they made mistakes, maybe they should have ditched DE when it was clear no OS could be made of it.. I guess there was to much money/time/effort poured into it to just drop it.. I know my company was pouring money into a project only because it allready had cost so much it was to costly not to.. Untill even the programmer gave up that is.. _________________ ~ Everything you say will be misquoted and used against you.. ~ |

| I know USA is big, but isn't there any member from NY here that could try to contact AInc and interview them or something like that... Maybe someone that used to have contact to Bill of Fleecy before?

| this is the thread where this was discussed before. I went to the NY office, found no one there. According to people in nearby offices, they generally didn't see many people at the Amiga, Inc office. (maybe a person every 3 days or so) it seems to be a mail drop mostly._________________ "In terms of worship, I worship the God of Irony. That's the only God that I know exists." Terry Gilliam |

I have had dealings with John... he worked with Garry... I suspect he no longer has any connection to Amiga, Inc. either. _________________ Sven Harvey Micro Mart A1000, A2000, A1500 A500, CDTV, A500+, A600, A4000, A1200, CD32, AT A1200HD, A1-XE |

EDIT:
Ahaa, you are also owner of Stellar Dreams ? Ok, didn't know that.

Heh, If I were tronman, I'd send those papers to the Phoenix Arizona "Amiga Corp" just to see how they'd respond. _________________ "If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you." - Oscar Wilde |

| By the way, I just want to point out that I look like my avatar. Do you guys look like your avatars?
I'm not sure what this has to do with Garry Hare leaving AmigaInc, but I'm sure I can make up some kind of spin later on to put the two together! Last edited by Darth_X on 23-Oct-2005 at 12:50 AM.

I hate these long threads but I have to read them because in all that 90% of static, you do occaisionally find some real gems of information. _________________

| If Dr Hare had resigned several months ago, why he announced it this week?
Is this suprise announcement related to the new bankruptcy law?
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2005/10/16/BUGH3F7TD81.DTL
"For example, the new law makes it harder for companies going down the tubes to pay their top managers to stick around. Many failing companies -- including Enron, Kmart, Polaroid and a slew of dot-coms -- promised managers fat bonuses, loans or severance pay if they stayed through at least part of the reorganization. Often, these were the same people who had run the companies into the ground." |

The first post in the thread should do, although who knows about the details. I thought KMOS owned Amiga inc, he makes it sound like he quit Amiga Inc. Did KMOS sell Amiga Inc back to Bill and Fleecy? Or did someone else buy Amiga Inc and put Bill and Fleecy back in charge?
If nobody bought Amiga Inc from KMOS, how does KMOS go about disassociating itself with it's asset Amiga Inc? It's all kind of fuzzy, but that's not Garry's fault, once he's washed his hands of it, it's up to those at Amiga to make those details available (or not) at their discression.

Don't you remember? After having acquired Amiga Inc., KMOS changed their name to Amiga Inc., effectively making Amiga Inc. and KMOS the one and the same. _________________ Sammy Nordström, A.K.A. "Samface"
