Many PR people publish mobile numbers on the internet. I highly doubt it is the contact's personal mobile number

Most of the posts I have read have said something to the effect of "Amiga Inc. has hired Mr. Krueger in an attempt to hinder or cease OS4 development." I would like to offer another hypothesis. Amiga may be expecting a favorable outcome of the trial. If Amiga Inc. do not really have OS5 under development, and they are able to wrestle the source code and rights from Hyperion, then they may bundle AA2 with OS4 calling it OS5. If that ends up being the case, they will want people like Mr. Krueger to foster development for their newly acquired/stolen OS.

I'm not sure what to think of this, but we know that Jamie Krueger can code, and has some nice ideas for an IDE. It's a pity that he couldn't work on AVD full-time all the way to completion.

It still doesn't give us any clue what Amiga Inc.'s plans are, or what they're up to.

That's...bizarre.

While I feel sort of suckered for paying the initial full price of AVD, and getting nothing really usable out of it, my impressions of Jamie are he's a bright and decent guy, which certainly makes me wonder why he'd go to work for AI.

He also, AFAIK, became and OS4 beta-tester, so was presumably on at least relatively good terms with the Freidens and other OS4 devs, which makes this a bit more surprising.

I can only guess that either McEwen 'convinced' him his work at AI will have nothing to do with OS4, that AI will win the case, or....? I really don't know what would convince Jamie to work for AI - I doubt he's oblivious to their past issues with paying people, etc...

I guess we can only hope he doesn't become another unpaid employee, and see where this goes..weird.

That's kind of a couter-statement isn't it? According to the headings... O: for office and C: for cell (at least that's the norm around these parts) it's likely their mobile cell number. I'm not calling to confirm though.

I think this is very positive.

Seems Amiga Inc wants to hire folks with OS4 knowledge, guess they feel confident about the outcome of the court case.
I hoped Hyperion would win but honestly I don't care anymore as long as we get it over with and the winner shows interest in taking OS4 further.

Hopefully Jamie will get to finish the great project he started, this time on Amiga Inc's expense:)

Strictly speaking paying old employees is Amino Inc.'s (formerly Amiga Inc. Washington) job, as they're the ones that never paid their debtors, and they still exist. Amiga Inc. Delaware is totally non-related; they're just a company with the same name, same owners and executives, and own everything that A.Inc. Washington used to.

However, let's not pollute yet another thread with legal speak. I'm more curious as to what Jamie's job is at Amiga Inc., and when he's going to be able to finally finish off AVD.

You know what I'm hoping for, an out of court settlement that allows the existing developers to continue, and maybe even add more to the team.

That would be nice. It would also show that Amiga Inc. do want OS4 to go somewhere. So far they've said that they want Amiga OS to progress, but their actions haven't backed that up at all.

I must say that your thread title "Amiga inc Hires Jamie Krueger" does not reflect the words carefully chosen for the announcement.
"announced today that it has added Jamie Krueger to its development team."

I don't see any mention of being hired for pay, which "hires" implies.
