I want to know exact numbers here.Small batch could mean anything! I'm not concerned about customers waiting, I just want to know for curiositys sake how many are coming on Friday. :)

I'm guessing small batch means 5 to 10.

I reckon the delay in getting the boards out is with quality assurance - that was the last bit of news we had before it went quiet.

If that's the case I'd rather get a working board than having to send two or three back before I got one that did work!

I take "small" to mean some boards but not enough to cover all pre-orders.

Fantastic!! But for a minimal professional service I'd like to receive a more detailed info. I purchased a sam440ep with 12th december extimated delivery, now I don't know if it will be shipped for christmas.
Sorry but no info is the worst situation for managing orders!

I ordered 23. september and it arrived 4. november. Over a month waiting, but well worth it.

Yes same here I ordered and paid for my SAM440 motherboard on the 25/10/2008 and my copy of OS4.1.

So far I have my copy of OS4.1 and the other software I purchased to run under OS4.1 on my SAM440.

But as I still have no hardware and no idea when I am going to get it, the rest of the stuff I have ordered is just gathering dust for now.

I sadly got a reply from amigakit and was told that my order would not ship yet as they only would get enough board for those who ordered early. Mine is probably not shipped before sometime in january. I ordered it on nov 18..

I just hope nothing bad happens as a result of court process in the meantime.

Sam440's have nothing to do with Hyperion, OS4, or Amiga Inc, therefore you should be fine if you already have your copy of OS4. And even if you haven't, I think it's unlikely that getting hold of OS4 will be a problem, one way or another...

I received a similar call from amigakit today saying the same thing, from what they were saying the batch expected in this week will be going to people who pre-ordered from the end of September to the beginning of October. As I ordered in late October it will be some time in January next year before I am likely to see a motherboard.

As always I cant really fault Amigakit for their service, they can only work on the information they are supplied and with small numbers of computers being made to order I guess delays are kind of to be expected as companies placing larger component orders than Acube are likely to get priority.

Lets just hope that ACube can sort out the availability issues early on next year before potential new Amiga OS4.x customers give up and spend their money else ware on other hobbies.

They would seem to have a long way to go if the boards received only cover pre-orders from late October/early November!

It is a strange volume of manufactured boards???? 100 boards when ou have preorderd 50???
When You know that is time of Christmas and New Year,
when you have preordered boards,
when you know that people buy easy in hollyday season,
when you continualy have preorders from Amiga dealers and individuals..
becouse this reasons you have to produce boards that will feed this little market.
That is the chance for sale that you dont have to miss for any price!

Imagine that on start of decembar all preorders was shiped and new orders from dec. on present days!
I dont know financial potencial of ACube but order to manufacturer of 1000 boards was quantity that resolve all their problems of the Amiga market.

Such a shame for all of as, especialy for those who preorderd boards.
