Just have not put the time into it lately, plus someone mentioned to me I probably need to do a firmware update. My fiancee is 7 months pregnant (with twins) and work has been needing us to work longer days recently, so there has been just less time also as it is.

Any existing high-end motherboards being considered ?
Also any non powerPc cpu's ?

You think thats a wise decision ?

It might be difficult to get your hands on a Pegasos....

Anyway, good luck.

I’ve seen this story before was it Pandora’s box?

Maybe its from ABC’s LOST? But something is different in the story it took an Amiga turn….

In the new story the once thought for dead Peg operation comes alive again.! It’s revealed that Bill Buck is very much alive again. Nice going Hyperion, Not!

Not to m knowledge. And to try it out yourself, just burn the iso and boot it off. If it works fine just update (this time your settings will be conserved, not like with 2.0 & 2.1). It's a job of a quarter of an hour.

Well, these are real valid arguments. Best wishes to your fiancee (myself being some kind of glad not to be a woman. Maybe I am missing some experience to never be pregnant, but somehow I have the impression it is rather harder than nicer - my hat off to all pregnant women)

Indeed...

And I wonder if they will make some sort of an apple-boingball if ever a mac version will be released...

@TheDaddy

What the!!

This would never have happened under Amiga Incs control. It would have been a complete conflict of interest. Makes a mockery of the hardware company needs a license thing. I don't think Genesi would have payed to get a license and AmigaOS4 on their boards.

So when can I run MorphOS on the AmigaOne?

Also, I'd like to know, does it boot from the SmartFirmnware? I think I'd miss not having UBoot around.

@Hypex

It boots from openfirmware. You can dual boot it with MorphOS if you wish.

Actually on my Peg-2 I have the following boot options:

OS 4.1
MorphOS 2.2
PegXMac
Linux
MOL

Very nice. and it all works.

@HammerD

Interestng. How does the boot menu look compared to UBoot? And was it easy to boot the CD?

BTW, I see PegXMAc and MOL. How do these differ? And have you tried molk?

@Rogue and Dietmar

Yes, I would like a peg 1 version also, then I could hook my SAM440Ep up, to the peg 1, and play networked games between my friends.

It would also allow me, to borrow my PEG 1 system, to some friends that have shown interest recently in my new way of life with this courages OS.

One even commented if he could take my sam440ep in replacement of his linux box.
I had to decline his thoughts naturally, as I would not want to use any other os as my every day Home os other than Amiga now.

I have become so used to this OS, that sometimes I forget it is Ctrl alt del to get into a different system.

I would naturally consider giving this friend my peg 1, and if he likes it, consider selling it to him, in the hope to buy a sam460ep (if that is even on the list of Acube projects)

Cheers.

Rogue, haha, might have to write a label for the peg os4.1 box, not to get the two boxes confused.

Unless you are good with the shell commands, you dont want a morphOS.

IMHO.

I got both right here, maybe this upcoming amiga meet this february, ill bring MorphOS2.1 peg 1 machine for ou to play with and get a feel for the differences betwenn the OS's there.

Cheers.

Good news thanks, and the sooner the better.
I really can't decently work with middle-end system (AOne).

It's under consideration. It requires additional work, and I don't really know how many Pegasos I are still around, seeing that bPlan/Genesi exchanged the boards relatively cheaply at one point.

Bottom line, it will depend on the feedback we see.

Well, I am good on shell commands and appreciate MUICon very much, but I do'nt get what you wanted to imply here?
