I have no idea why you seem to think that useful, or that Hyperion would be unaware of the 'new' C=. but, from your supplied link:

Not to mention, most links off that page result in a server error.. :-/

@wegster

Is Commodore doing anything with that brand or are they just a name troll? Another company you might have heard of has made name trolling famous.

As far as I've seen the C= name for the past couple years (since it was re-used/bought, forget from whom), it's 'just a brand' to gain some 'pretend recognition.' Well, ok..sort of like AInc. They made a few MP3 players, and I think attempted a line of systems similar to AlienWare used to (read $$$). Also, I believe the C=One was theirs, the only thing at all related to 'the real C=' ?

@wegster

I think they're doing pretty well in the Alienware-type-awesome-pro-gamer-exxxtreme market. I've even seen their boxes in PC World.

The current Commodore is certainly doing more with the brand than anyone else has in recent years.

As there is a greater demand for OS4.x capable hardware than can currently be met then maybe it is time for Hyperion to start up a hardware division.......

See post #315 and maybe rethink that idea a bit. heh.

The old CBM use to sell Wintel PCs. In Oz, I use remember they dominated the retail X86 PC space.

Seems like they only release news when someone else releases or announces some OS4.x hardware.
I am starting to think they are just trolling to hurt sales

@Tomas

I would like to believe that trolling time has passed,
and that all unfinished projects (Amy, another Classic clone,
some better version of SAM, Natami ...) are somehow progressing.

We should used to fact that Amiga can bent space and time

Hope to see them all realised in 2010 and making some
impact on Amiga market.

If number of new Classic hardware appears (e.g. Natami,
better Miniming, another clone) Acube and Hyperion
should think of using AROS or making some stable
current AmigaOS classic clone.

What I yet do not understand is legal status of Kickstart
and OS 3.9, and if its needed, maybe Cloanto and Haage & Partner
should be included with it. And would like to see some strong software,
like Page Stream and Raytrace software offered with the 68k and OS4 OS

@vox

If the included software is too good it will hurt future software sales, and users won't pay much for included software.

Some people ranted against magazine cover disks of full programs in the 1995 era,but then Amiga sales were dismal anyway.

Offer a board, WITH OS, SAM itself or similar, equal to the current SAM or Mac mini/MorphOS but selling for less than $500 ready to run and Amigans will grab them.It could be sold as is the mini,sans keyboard,mouse,and monitor.That keeps the shipping/retail box small which holds down costs of shipping,storage,retail shelf space,cost of the packaging itself,etc.A really good web suite is a must.
