Pancakes for me.

No to the flex because I kind of prefer the smaller size & graphics on the motherboard of the 440ep, but what I really hope this means is that they go down in price or a few pop up secondhand which I can afford for a hobbies machine, as for for power I think I will be happy with even the 533mhz board as I'm use to using my Amiga with just 40mhz (68040) so its bond to be quicker.

I consider the flex version a step into the right direction and the price got a little better. But I have just enough maschines already, so I voted "No".

It doesn't look like the 440ep will be sold at a lower price once the flex is out. Reportedly, ACube said in an Italian forum they're no plans to do this. (Yes the price of the ep IS outrageous but I doubt we can do anything about that.)

Not unless my A1 and Peg2 die and it's the only thing available. Suggested retail is getting a little better, but not worth it to me yet. Glad to see it's 'almost out' though (Two More Weeks? ).

Keep similar pricing (allowing for CPU cost offset) with a faster 460ep, or better, a freescale 86** variant, and I'll take one, though.

Wait. You said you have TWO LimePCs. Is it THAT tough to 'calculate' or are you buying more?

End result: Buy a SAM for $$$, then buy a Linux netbook for double it's retail price, minus a few dollars, so you can profit?
