The Timberwolf screenshots contains a site a-eon.com. The site source contains:

Site content (c)2009 by Electric Voodoo for Hyperion Entertainment / A-Eon

If you click on the image, a Guru meditation popup appears.

The domain is registered to the frieden brothers.

I think this is a teaser for MAP..

@VidarL

exciting. Interesting that in the code, it is stated that 'AmigaOS' (among the other wordmarks) is property of Amiga Inc. and used under license...

@VidarL

I looked at the Guru Meditation and 4E454D4F in hex translates to 'NEMO'. By accident or not? :)

@DaveAE

What could NEMO be, then?

This is very exciting.

I knew there is some sort of clue as soon as I saw the screenshots.

In the source of the page it also says "There are no hidden messages in this site".
Brilliant

@Jamie_S

Which is correct under the settlement terms. From the Hyperion website:

Within the framework of the settlement agreement Hyperion is granted an exclusive, perpetual, worldwide right to AmigaOS 3.1...

It is an unlimited licence, not ownership.

@rigo

Ah I see.

I would guess the NEMO thing is significant given that the title of that page is 'Something to meditate on'.

The 'next peice of the puzzle' thing is cool.. like something Channel 4 in the UK would do for an upcoming TV programme. Viral marketing?

To me this smells like clusters / cloud computing.

Surely for some tasks we would get rid of the lack of CPU power, if all our Amigas (in the world) combine their CPU power for things like 3D rendering, or if we get to use a powerfull CPU cluster if we register AOS4.2...

Interesting.

@Amiga1200Mark
For anyone who failed to find it, here's a direct link:
http://a-eon.com/2.html
(And I tried 3.html without any luck!)

When they say "next piece of the puzzle", I guess it won't mean spilling ALL the beans then, but rather just more hints :-/

I leaned close to the monitor, really close, and inhaled deeply...

To me it smelled like coffee, but that could have been the cup next to the screen.

Coffee... Java... a full Java Runtime Environment on OS4.1.1!

it's all coming to me now: must be all those helpful people teaching me to read too much into things.

@Boot_WB
That was my thoughts too.... But I think it was Rogue who already said that they hadn't started on Java yet, and so other people shouldn't avoid working on a Java port because of them. So I find it hard to belive in Java, despite it being very easy to read that into Rogue's words.

clever hinting on their part :)

Is there anything about the site that doesn't work on Amiga browsers, and thus suggests anything special?

@billt

Yes, they kind of know how to generate some interest. While I didn't liked all the myserious MAP talk, I think this one is done nicely. Hopefully it turns out in something concrete and nice. Let's see what the next information bit tomorrow will be.
