Now that's more like it!!!!!!
I don't have specs for you yet. (watch this space) Commodore USA
But it is probably the same specs as what it looks like.
edit: I can confirm that it is ATOM/nvidea based edit: INVICTUS is the latin word for "Invincible". edit: It comes in silver too. It also has a stylus. edit: I do not know if it features wireless wiBand HDMI. I'll see if I can find out. EDIT: It has it. edit: It has the Nvidia ION chipset, which is a newer higher performance graphics chip set. edit: It will have 5.5-5 hr battery life. LCD screen does remain ON when external video is running.

That plus AROS would be interesting for a short while but then . . . . (if AROS supported the ION of course . . . . _________________ Avatar babe - Monica Bellucci. |

I don't know yet if it is Nvidia ION based...Probably not. Edit: it is!!!
I don't understand the eye roll..... I would love to see AROS as a standard boot option on Commodore machines. If you would too... I would appreciate it if you could send a message to Commodore asking for it. The more people that ask the greater the likely-hood of that happening. I know the owner reads everything sent. http://www.commodoreusa.net/feedback.html

Yep, thats what I thought too ....
But all for the better as this unit doesn't look half as retarted as their other products and even makes some sense (as overzized TV/Mediacenter remote).
Still doesn't give me that warm C= feeling ...... _________________ - We don't need good ideas, we haven't run out on bad ones yet - blame Canada |

Ah well. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I see this as a very positive development towards the re-emergence of Commodore in the market place. Of course, Commodore will always market to a niche, and that isn't for everyone.

| Looks like a rip-off of.... was it Asus that designed something like it a year or two ago? Shame that they use the Commodore name to market boring non innovative pc's. _________________

Errr... how is this not innovative? It's got a touch screen IN THE KEYBOARD!!! It may even have WIRELESS HDMI output. (Gotta confirm that one) EDIT:Confirmed. It does. Gosh, I really don't know what more you could possibly ask for. Last edited by BigBentheAussie on 28-May-2010 at 02:15 PM. Last edited by BigBentheAussie on 28-May-2010 at 10:30 AM.

You've had two references to the Asus EEE Keyboard already in the thread, and still do not see what the Invictus plagiarises? |

Come on guys, this company is a joke, all their products are recycled products from other manufacturers. Some of them are almost 3 years old.

So was the AmigaOne with the Teron mobo. I don't remember, was the SAM440 specifically designed for OS4 or was OS4 adopted to it? The use of existing hardware for new purposes shouldn't be an issue.

| So few companies out there actually manufacture their own devices that an objection to re-branding is unjustified. Chances are the monitor, the TV, your smartphone and the computer you're using are probably rebranded devices. This is hardly a new thing, and to me, at least, does not make the product any less desirable. _________________ Leo Nigro, CTO Commodore USA, LLC Opinions expressed are my own and not those of C= USA. And exactly where it has its stickers you will find some strange spots on the case of the Commodore USA keyboard clone. It looks like the image has been "doctored"
AFAIK it is called u150-ion: http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/24/great-wall-cross-pc-u150-ion-izes-the-eee-keyboard/
Did someone here ever bought a product from Commodore USA ? Last edited by Arko on 28-May-2010 at 12:23 PM. Last edited by Arko on 28-May-2010 at 12:21 PM.

| Is the touch screen acting also as a built in monitor?. could be interesting for certain purposes. I like the machine, would be a interesting aros machine.

That doesn't look too bad, but it lacks one BIG thing; an Amiga OS. If it comes with Windows then it's just another generic PC (IMHO). _________________

Good catch. I never saw that before. No wireless HDMI sadly. Oh well. (edit: I have confirmed that Commodore's has.) It has the NVidia ION chipset then. It should therefore have pretty snappy graphics performance by all accounts. I don't think ASUS put that in their eee PC keyboard, like they did their other products.
