Figures, always an excuse

£159 for an Amiga flavour, 68k application and games compatible small laptop.

Cool, so the WiFi works now?

I have an A150 currently running Windows 7, can I install it alongside W7 for testing?

@DBAlex

If you have a spare partition that is clean, then yes. Aros will then create a link in the grub for windows. Note this is still early days still but it works.

Mine share Windows 7 partition for BBC IPLAYER.

Sounds great! But where did you find one for 159 Pounds? The cheapest one I found was 200 EUR for a second hand, new ones are above 300 EUR (most expensive at eBay, BTW...)

I would like to install Ubuntu and Aros, which should be possible, isn't it? With Ubuntu "Easypeasy" on my eeePC I've used the BBC iPlayer the last time I've been in the UK, I hope this is still possible and no strange OSses like Windows are needed?

He actually linked the £159 offer/price in his earlier link:-

@TheMaskedMuchacho

No the GMA only happens on the VGA output, but I have a cunning little addition to the startup-sequence from Michal that speeds up VESA also.

@IslandDreamer

You wait till the next video

Only about two or three days away. Get your bank manager ready.

Just heard an analyst on CNBC predict a stock market crash between October and December, paralleling the market in 1930. Scary stuff. May put a bite in everyone's tech budgets...

The Hindenburg Omen was tripped two weeks ago. Some say it take five events and not two, but it's awfully scary out there right now as we dance our way off a very high cliff with massive tax increases starting Jan 1st.

I wonder what that "A150 Bg" means. In Germany it has never been officially available, you'll find mostly the 150-L. Also on the Acer homepage there is no 150 Bg. Is it an outdated netbook? But that costs much more. Is there a difference between those two machines (besides the keyboard, I don't think that the British netbooks are cheaper because there are less keys on the keyboard...)
And yes, before I safe some money, I prefer a computer with a German keyboard.

@DrZarkov

Bg = "B grade", meaning returned/refurbished depending on supplier.

Great! I'll try and give it a go ASAP. I have my WiFi on WEP so it should work. Works fine with my A1200 and Prism2 so I think AROS WiFi should work fine too.

Thanks go to Neil Cafferkey for making this all happen.
