@clusteruk
What is the exact Atheros Chip in there ? As far as I can see, the AcerAspire d250 has same chips as the 150.

@all
Acer d250 is available under 250 Euros in Germany. I will have one for testing hopefully tomorrow, hope sound works as well...
BTW I tested a Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3, WLAN + Sound not working... LAN works. VESA as well...

greetings gerograph

@gerograph

I hope it works as well, but it will be a great test with the A250.

Not sure on chipset for wireless, but it is Ahteros 5000 series which is the key thing.

@clusteruk

O.k. quicktested the D250 today. BTW what is the difference between D250 and A250 ??? Probably D = Deutsch/German keyboard and A=American /International Keyboard ???? Here are the results:

- Sound works great
- couldn't test mounting a FAT partition, were only ntfs ones on it
- Wireless doesn't work it is a Atheros AR8132 - I'll post details on aros-exec.org
- Lan doesn't work either (at least with the drivers i tested, didn't had the time to go through all off them), its a Broadcom BCM4312

So, as that was the (nearly new) netbook from a friend of mine, I gave it back to him (He opted to swap with the Lenovo ideapas S10-3 I have). As the Ideapad doesn't work probperly either, I hope to convert back to D150 as Stephen suggested. Somehow this one is technically seen behind the other ones, but more expensive... Hope my dealer takes the Lenovo one back...

Its always a problem finding the right one though, because most of them are not available in the local store (for testing). Therefor you have to get them via Internet...

O.k. I'll keep you uptodate.
