timedemo demo2
vox for sure your timedemo of QuakeGl will be slower compared with pegasos2 if you have a radeonhd because it use the wazp . If you have a second video card Radeon 9250pci test the quakegl on it. Last edited by tlosm on 11-Oct-2013 at 09:11 AM.

And for valid results about MorphOS with glquake (tlosm's results are seriously off) :
Mac Mini 1.5 GHz (Radeon 9200 64MB) (MorphOS 2.7, i'll try with 3.3 later, it might be even faster) : 1) 74.3 fps 2) 145 fps Powerbook G4 1.67GHz (Radeon 9700 128MB) (MorphOS 3.3) : 1) 107.3 fps 2) 200.6 fps

why my result are absolutly off? because the
AOs4) Pegasos 2 G4 1.0 Radeon 9000pro 128mb = 1) 75,5 2) 133,5 (320x240=180.3 :P) Because the Pegasos 2 1ghz gave a result great compared with 1.5 mos macmini?
(Morphos) MacMini G4 1.5 Radeon 9200 64mb = 1) 46.6 2) 74.8 or because this is my Mos 3.3 result?
or because OSx geve me (Osx 10.5.8) Powerbook G4 1.67 Radeon 9700 128mb = 1) 185,7 2) 263,4 compared with your mos 3.3 Powerbook G4 1.67GHz (Radeon 9700 128MB) (MorphOS 3.3) : 1) 107.3 fps 2) 200.6 fps result
Fab i dont have problem to make video of the timedemo and put it on youtube ... but i think will be not a good show a 1.ghz G4 with os 4.1.6.60 gave a result near a G4 1.5 with mos 3.3 or make a timedemo mos on my powerbook and compare with osx result.... _________________ I love Amiga and new hope by AmigaNG A 500 + ; CDTV; CD32; PowerMac G5 Quad 8GB,SSD,SSHD,7800gtx,Radeon R5 230 2GB; MacBook Pro Retina I7 2.3ghz; #nomorea-eoninmyhome |

Because your mac mini results are obvioulsy flawed.
Besides, if you want real GL tests, try at least with Quake 3... |

Your tests are flawed for several reasons:
- We don't even know what glquake you use for OS4 nor MorphOS (and guess what, details and ports can greatly change speed there). - You certainly didn't test MorphOS Quake with vsync off, which means fps never exceed your monitor refresh rate (you have to type flushlib tinygl.library and then setenv TGLSYNC 0 to test without vsync). - You're telling us a radeon 9000 pro is better than a radeon 9200. What a scoop, really! But even then, MorphOS still performs good with this poor gfx card, which is rather interesting...
Another result for you: Pegasos2 1GHz with Radeon 9100 (MorphOS 3.3): 1) 89.7 fps 2) 147.3fps Last edited by Fab on 11-Oct-2013 at 10:48 AM. Last edited by Fab on 11-Oct-2013 at 10:47 AM.

So your OSX is faster with 10 years older GFX card ? Results I got with my work machine with GTX 660 1) 2053.8 2) 2025.25 and bonus play 1341.8@ 1920x1080. Something in your test is seriously fu*ked up since your results are same class than on Gerforce 256 in 2000. |

rose i think you dont see the specs of all the machine... or read just wanna you like read.. this is the usual speaking of trolls ... The RADEONHD 7750HD is a PCIe Card ... the P4 dont have it but is a agp . if you study you will know it, but i think you just play with your computer. The P4 is 10 years old cpu ... For sure your machine is equiped with Pcie busboard ... put your video card on an pci and let me know how fast is it.
and another think wash your mount with something because your language is rude and inappropriate. Thanks Last edited by tlosm on 11-Oct-2013 at 01:59 PM. Last edited by tlosm on 11-Oct-2013 at 01:56 PM. Last edited by tlosm on 11-Oct-2013 at 01:54 PM.

There was plenty P4 boards with PCI-e. There's plenty of 7750's in PCI-e. And your orginal posting stated "RadeonHD 7750".

Yes but the Board is in PCI slot... i was thinking was not necessary write P4 with RadeonHD 7750 2GB DDR on pcie adaptor on a 66mhz pci bus ..

You really should when you are trying compare different systems and one of them gets abysmal performance compared to normal.
And you proved my point. Your test is seriously cripled.Last edited by Rose on 11-Oct-2013 at 02:46 PM.

Why? You don´t like the comparison.

Comparing these results, it seems OS4 R200 drivers were at least little bit improved. In August 2009 (Source: Obligement OS4 MorphOS benchmarks): GLQuake - 640x480 "demomap demo1.dm2" AmigaOS 4.1 - 80 fps MorphOS 2.3 - 146 fps (tests on Pegasos 2 G4 1 GHz, Radeon 9250 128 MB; sure 9000 Pro is faster than 9250, but not that much)

Since car analogies are always popular... On testing GFX cards putting modern card in PCI bus without mentioning it is like forgotting to mention in car test that half of sparkplugs are removed.
My point being that that result doesn't have anything to do with realworld and really doesn't show difference between different cards which I thought was orginal point of test. |

do you know how to make benchmar in Quake and GLQuake?
1) you press \ to show console 2) type "Timedemo demo 2" 3) very very quick, you press again \

looking your results, my replay could be right.. however i think that your macmini has some problems at leat with tinyGL.
at this point you have to test Quake Arena in all resolution: 640x480, 800x600, 1024x786 and 1280x1024 with all detail.
btw, i ask to fab if he would like to test Quake Arena on MacMini and PowerBook with these resolutions. All details at maximun except Light set to "Vertex"
i have made many, too test, with Vertex settings so..i'd like to see MOS with this detail.
