Yes. ClipDown has a routine in it now to try and find MPlayer on your system but if it can't find it for some reason or if the name in not MPlayer (ie. MUIMPlayer) you will need to set the Tooltype. As for getvideo.cfg, I don't remember off hand but I'm sure that if you use MUIMPlayer you will need to change the config to look for it instead of MPlayer.

Yes, I tried a five minute fix to the script but failed. But looks like there's something in the URL the script retrieves that wasn't there before.

Fab updated YouTube script for MorphOS OWB. Maybe the script can be used in OS4 version as well or at least may serve as a hint what to change in it?

Well, the youtube script can be used as-is in OWB 1.9 for OS4 as well, by the way. But it loses its main feature (replacing flash with html5). But direct links will still appear as well.

As for the change, "url_encoded_fmt_stream_map" var changed a bit, and most scripts were parsing it in a way that breaks now (they added a semi-column plus some codecs information there). Also the "sig" argument as to be replaced by signature. And that's about it.

You can still watch YouTube videos by using the savefrom.net site support included in ClipDown. Here is how:

Click on the YouTube video you want to watch.
Add "savefrom.net/" to the start of the video URL and hit return.
(i.e. savefrom.net/http://www.youtube.com/watch?FxMOOyQI99g&feature=g-logo-xit )
When the link appear on the right, just copy the link to the clipboard and click on the ClipDown button
while it is set to Auto Mode.

This also works for other sites like Vimeo that no longer work with getvideo.

Damn it, i have been using this feature for a long time now and i feel gimped without being able to just click the link in owb and ibrowse and it starts.

Just use youtube.js userscript then. It also allows to download, as a bonus. The only drawback is the download link doesn't have the title (could be done i guess).

I'd say you still use the old userscript, because newer URL have a signature argument (which is the one needed to make download work). Make sure you use:
http://fabportnawak.free.fr/owb/scripts/YouTube.js

And i've tested, links can be used externally, be it by wget or mplayer. No cookies needed (yet).
