Is there a particular problem with 4.2.4 or a particular feature of the more recent version you require?

I ran out of time and lots of things are not 100% up to date yet. I also said another update is coming. This is explained on the blog http://blog.hyperion-entertainment.biz

Indeed. Though apparently nobody will update gcc.

As I explained on the blog (http://blog.hyperion-entertainment.biz) I ran out of time preparing the SDK and there will be another update. Besides, the compiler is hardly the exciting part.

I put the SDK together myself. Don't assume.

Not-probable. Since Update6 all new updates are received through AmigaInput.

Well, an important step for developers, but for common users like me .............

Well, I would like to see an online version of the SDK that is hooked up
to Spocks brain and I could simply tell it to produce a program that will
do what I want by clicking on a snazzy looking button without it giving
me the 'Ole Vulcun Mind Bind'.

Maybe after AmiWest? Huh? Huh?

Actually it's been stated at least a couple of times that eventually the AmiUpdate released updates will be collected together into an update archive which will likely end up being called update 7.

That is new information, at least for me. Reasonable decision.

If you are replying to this statement from ssolie:

then he is referring to a further update to the SDK only.

Sorry, apparently I figured that would be a key element to update. My point of view is that I (only) throw foreign code at it, so I'm interested in having a similar version of gcc than "the others".

It is quite probable at this point. We have had some discussion about it internally and most seem to favour the idea. AmiUpdate will be used to deliver updates in the mean time so you guys don't have to wait.

Not a bad idea. And who knows what happens at AmiWest when the cameras are off...
