@RNS-Amiga-Scientist

Dune 2?? A port to OS4 would be awesome!

Welcome aboard. I must join the others, I don't like your website. You can create something simple but better looking, without frames ecc..

How about Napalm for OS4, I would love that, anyone think Clickboom would/could release the source code?

@amigang

Clickboom planned Napalm 2 for Amiga some time ago but it wasn't ever released.

@ikir

I'm planning to write a clone of Dune 2 for Amiga with graphics card and PowerPC processor With some effort it is possible.

@RNS-Amiga-Scientist

Best of luck with your venture. But do keep your noses clean legally, the alternative isn't worth thinking about.

BTW, ignore the naysayers, some of them don't even own or run an Amiga!

A new site design is up and running. It should be much easier now to discover contents on the site. And it's better looking now! Also it should pass the w3.org validation without errors (at least without the "scripts" added by the maintainer of the server).

Thank you for your suggestions regarding the site.

As /me is very busy with examination session on the studies now there is not much progress on the projects, however after the session the projects should continue on their "full scale assault"

@RNS-Amiga-Scientist
Your improved web site looks much nicer & more modern!

Although the content seems much reduced, and it is no-longer in English

@ChrisH

What he needs is a content management system like Drupal or WordPress and a decent theme....

Hey, as for private site (not portal) it's enough, no need of WordPress. I like writing in HTML as well. There will be English version soon as well as much more contents on site.

@RNS-Amiga-Scientist

For those who don't like simple, easy to read websites, check this out:

Berkshire Hathaway

This simple site is the place on the Internet of Berkshire Hathaway, a small company (hehe) who just happens to own billions of shares in companies ranging from insurance through to retailers! Warren Buffet, the chairman/CEO wanted a no nonsense, easy to read the information site - and that's how it has been for years. They're doing ok ;)

I like retro sites! Reminds me of the early days of computers and the birth of the Internet in its commercial sense.

As of Dune 2 - Westwood Studios company doesn't exist anymore so I don't know which one to ask. But look at: http://www.dune2k.com. People from there are reverse-engineering Dune games and even releasing original data and clones and they don't have a single problem with license.

Electronic Arts should be the company to ask I think.

@amitv

I notice "demo/source/" has no files. I also have this on my HD with actual source files. But haven't bothered to figure out what files need assembling and linking. Nor what assenmbler is needs.

It can't be that hard. Or can it? I thought ny now we'd have an OS4 compatible version. But I haven't seen it.

@thread

The site was created from scratch. Now I hope will appeal to everyone as it has quite modern look :) For now it doesn't contain much content, but just basic layout and contents preview, so you can get to know what projects I was working on. The site contents will be upgraded shortly.

@kas1e

I've been working recently on my small paint program for AmigaOS 4, but it requires much work before it can be made available to public.

@RNS-Amiga-Scientist

Looks promising, best wishes. Having shareware or commercial Dune2 or Benefactor would be great (or some kind of clones under different names), not just scenarios and map editors, even that is a nice add on.

Respect goes to Poland!

The best of luck for your project.

I've also recently started my software company For Amiga Computers.

I see that needs a hard work with your site.

If you are interested please contact me and if I can help you with your web design will do it pleased.

Regards
Amiten.

Good luck indeed with all the projects!

PS. nie wiedziałem, że tylu zapaleńców wciąż u nas egzystuje :)

Co do stronki, to rzeczywiście jakiś fajny design by się przydał - wciąż prosty, ale estetyczny.

Powodzenia i szacuneczek!

Amiga pany!
