Which is pretty funny thing to say compared to what the sales records of the past nine month vs the entire sales numbers since 2001 for A1 series and Peg series combined. I guess we have a basic disagreement on what the definition of failure is.

So? Compare like for like, another OEM who makes Windows/Linux PCs... put your figures up against Dell or HP, then I'll try not to laugh.

Think about those numbers again, and this time, think that Ben had made that deal to port OS4 to C=USA machines. Still repressing the laughing?

@damocles

It's not comparable, OS4 is a hobbyist platform, done for little or no profit these days, and they just share their market with other small players like MorphOS and AROS teams, who really just do it for fun/love/ego/because they can these days, nobody expects them to sell any units outside of this small community, or believes they are competing with Apple or Microsoft.

Barry/CUSA is selling Wintel boxes, that's a totally different market, he's playing a different game, he's wanting to play in the premiership alongside Dell, HP and Apple, this is where his figures will look pitiful.

Thing is Dammy, remember all those wild made up figures yourself and Barry tossed about 10,000+ units and "wrong" pictures (being kind there using the word wrong) of a warehouse full of someone else's gear ready to ship...

Anyone could quote nonsense like that, the proof is in the actual sales figures private company or not if your gonna boast about it at every opportunity then back up those boasts with genuine sales figures or forever be ridiculed and doubted until you can produce something genuine and factual for once...

Yep, Barry/CUSA have been full of B.S from the start, why should we believe this?

More specifically, this "story" was related in only the vaguest of terms by people who were NOT Barry. Nuff said?

Just another "Amigan" story worth of another famous Baron

Maybe C=USA make it to the Terry Gilliam`s movie

Terry and the Circus crew could make great scatches, about conquering the world, professional bussines market, being serious company, making operating systems, running all operating systems there are etc.

Laughing does not even enter into it.

Slowly shaking head moderately side to side while wondering what
it takes for you to keep making yourself smaller and smaller with
every post is all there is.

I do hope the pay for being used is substantial. You deserve it.

Carry on.

Here in the UK, the profit/loss a company makes is freely available from Companies House.

Does the same apply to the US? That'd tell us how many they sold, roughly. We all know it's a lot less than the hundreds of thousands I believe Dammy once mentioned, but it would be interesting.

Thing is no one believes them anymore not even most of their so called fans who would produce a post full of dancing bananas at every word Barry, Leo or Randy posted on their site...

I think the feeling of being had (@ the mods... notice I didn't use the word "conned" there so as to polite & inoffensive) and the overwhelming feeling of underwhelment for most who were daft enough to buy a C64x has led to more posts of angry & sad "smilies" instead of dancing bananas these days...

Oh well, some folk don't listen and have to learn the hard way...

Your not remember it correctly then. Barry was in communications with Ben about a license deal for a OS4 port to C=USA's x86 hardware. Ben simply stopped replying to Barry. Consider the current situation, how much difference would it have been with Hyperion making money off 100K units? That would have a whole lot of full time, paid, developers working on OS4. Are you still laughing at that thought of only 100K+ units compared to Dell/HP if they were bringing revenues to Hyperion? It's OK, Ben has to live with that knowledge.

Let's try some logic here and see how that works out...
When I asked you previously if they had signed an NDA, you said you did not know.
Yet the things you state as having happened (full time devs paid for example) would be information only discussed under terms of an NDA, as that speaks to terms and conditions and is obviously more significant than 2 people just having a "friendly" chat.

So, they either had an NDA and you are leaking info that NDA would have surely covered, or the parties never had an NDA and ergo there was no real talk of a deal. Which?
Either way, all I see is the usual final line of pointing blame squarely towards someone else...without question.

If you really know the terms of such an agreement as you state...you're in it this deep, why not just post the entire terms and conditions for all to see?

Imaginary carrot stick again? Just like the time you said Barry might be interested in our effects products to gain our support? I doubt anyone will be losing life or sleep over imaginary deals that never materialized for an imaginary unverifiable 100K sales of a very niche overpriced computer. Also you're oversimplifying time and effort of programming OS 4.x for x86. Sure Apple did it but NeXtStep which Mac OS X is based on was already on x86 for many years. Word is Apple developed both PPC and x86 OS X in house for a long while.

Was CUSA imagining OS 4.x would be ported to x86 in a few months for free?

IMHO, it's insane how big business retro is. Also computer retro.

People seem to be interesed in fake C64 and Vic machines from CUSA + they buy Amiga joystics (including emulator) + they buy C64 joysticks (that include REAL C64 in FPGA) + minimig etc.
Remake of old games to iphone and desktop is also ongoing.

But it truly amazes me that there is market for real 8bit TV games!?!?!

http://www.verkkokauppa.com/fi/product/50590/ddkkh/Atari-Flashback-3-Classic-Game-Console
(be aware, the page might crash your MUI-OWB)

70EUR for a 8bit games console from the 80's?

I think Amiga world is loosing huge business here !!

Today we should have CD32revNG in this kind of -form (Natami or minimig or chameleon as the core?).
(with usb keyboard + mouse you would have A1200 kind classic computer http://media.photobucket.com/image/cd32%20as%20computer/Akikos_album/121b.jpg , http://www.gameland.gr/geoanas/images/amigacd32.jpg )

and for next gen:
similar handheld should/could be made around limePC kind of HW for AOS4 games (with usb keyboard + mouse you would have A1200 kind of low end AOS4 computer (in LimePC specs)).
-- we could have some basic boot setup/options:
--- AMC (startup as home media center, FullHD capable)
--- Kids (environment for kids use)
--- Retro (optimised for retro games with all imaginable 8bit & 16bit console emulator + mame + UAE)
--- Amiga NG desktop (AOS4 for us)
--- granny desktop (safe and simple environment for older people)

more details tbd...

(I act as a Business Developer (one day per week job) and see what it does to me. Brainfart after another? )

There is no substance to what you say. You only say this to try and rub people's noses in it but the fact is that there is nothing to rub people's noses in.

Barry wouldn't have paid for an X86 port of Amiga OS4 when he won't pay for hosting of Leo's pet Linux distro, and if Ben was expected to foot the bill then why would he need Commodore USA to take away part of his income.

The 100k units you keep mentioning sounds like bull to me. Prove me wrong or shut up.
