@Darth_X

Bit early for this one. Will need some games first!

Might also be a wee bit pricey.

No because like already mentioned there are no gamed, the other consoles are more powerfull (Wii U will be out next year), it will be expensive so noone will buy it. Only if it was cheaper then the competition and had good games would it be an option.

10*price of current gen. 1/2 performance of current gen. No 3D support, no real developer support. No games. This one will be a winner! :)

Not PA6T based.

But for example APM86290 based.(about 90% of the performance of PA6T minus VMX)
Mini-itx board with one PCIe x8 slot for r700 caliber GPU.
1.5Ghz, 2GB RAM + 1GB 3D RAM
With xena or FPGA for retro I/O.
It would be powerfull to be ported/developed some games to.

can be built as:
- Retro+AOS4games console (comes with USB and atari game controller ports)
- set top box / compact tower / Commodore Amiga CDTV / Commodore Amiga 1000 kind of box
- or inside X-arcade -kind of "case"

Console would not compete with existing consoles, on their main arena (even though it would have the power needed).
It would be nice toy for Amigans and retro lunatics for 500+USD.

It would require a lot of SW to be truly usable. etc etc.

But if some bigger funding appears and perhaps some innovation for gaming (a bit like Wii or KineCT or AppleTV) the console might sell...

@Rose

x1000 has almost 2/3 of the CPU power of xbox360 and r700 outperforms the r500 caliber xenos. But sure it's almost 10x too pricey and very little gaming SW.

Competitive Game console development needs more money for SW development than for HW development.

Only if one core in XBox360 is much more powerful than PPU in PS3.

X1000 has enough raw performance for PS3/XBox360 class games.

So, you are implying that everything you haven't seen in the World with your own eyes is a lie, interesting...

The Porsche 911 doesn't exist either, because I don't have one.

I've seen tons of photos of Bigfoot too. That doesn't mean he's any more real than the X1000 that I've been hearing about for the last 3 years.

So basicly you are suggesting a console which runs UAE worse than €250 pc and which will cost at least €1000. Sound like a winner.

Pfft ppl claim because they haven't seen god at any time he must not exist, AND that argument seems to stick amungst the populace.to disbelive in the face of overwhelming evidedence of the effects the x1000 has had on this community because u haven't seen one yourself is. . . (I'm tempted to say insanity here , but i wont) just stu-pid.

I hate to join the off topic nonsense here but if memory serves the X1000 was announced less than 2 years ago. It seems ferrels must of had some inside information for a year and didn't share.
