If you bothered to check downloads you would have noticed that there isn't sources. Just binary release of lib.

well, maybe we should ask them then instead of answering andre4s like you did now?

might not be impossible to get the sources, maybe , maybe not.

Since it's commerical service it would be like asking Valve for sources of steam. Not going to happen. Too much their security stuff in it.

edit. typo

@Andre4s

An Amiga version of Spotify would be ace. As a premium subscriber I would love to be able stream Spotify on OS4.

But I doubt we have enough users to make it a priority for them.

Spotify is one of my most used music program on Windows and Linux but I doubt that this will be only in my dreams that some day it could be also on Amiga.
But everything is possible, it's allready done for few amplifiers, mobile phones, Linux...
I keep on dreaming...

Means nothing if you don't enjoy what you have. Just because the World hasn't given you all you want, doesn't give you the right to dump on others like you always do.

Edit: Don't bother replying, off topic & not worth a fight.

@Rose

Libspotify for AmigaOS would be great. I am currently working on a (Windows) player that (at the moment) supports MOD,XM,IT,S3M,MO3,MTM,OGG,MP3,WAV/AIFF with the help of BASS library from un4seen developments. It also supports YM, using StSoundlib and I have also built in an AHX/HVL player based on the official replayer code from Xeron. I am planning to make use of libspotify to also add Spotify support, also keep expanding it with adding more Amiga formats. I think UADE is the way to go here. And of course SID support.

The layout and design is at the momen very much like Spotify (having libspotify in mind).

I want to make an AmigaOS version of this (using other libraries, though), but I want to get the Windows version in a release state before doing so...

I have sent a request to my man on the inside on Spotify.
I asked on behalf of AmigaOS4, MorphOS and Aros.
Since I use to work with them before spotify excisted they should at least
consider my request.
I will report what the replied.

Ok! I got a reply at once. As I suspected they find it possible. I have got the contact information and stuff. Who wishes to take on the task of porting it? Nothing is 100% yet but there seem to be a great possibility. :)

Bounty time!
pretty sure some people would put their other projects on hold in favour for Spotify!
