| Hi,
I was wondering if the 0.32 radeon 4650HD Driver supports DVI output. I want to get a KVM switch to make my PC/Amiga experience a little less cumbersome.

I have a radeon 4850 card in the x1000, DVI has worked from day one, the 4650 should be no different. _________________ X1000! Party on Pure Gold Hate tends to make you look stupid... |

The HD4650 with 0.33 version of the RadeonHD drivers supplied with the AmigaOne X1000 supports DVI. It's how my Miggy is set up.

Thanks. I'll get a dual DVI KVM switch.
One thing I noticed thus far regrading this post... am I the only poor bastard that couldn't afford an X1000? The Sam 460ex with Case, PSU, HDD and DVD Burner I recently bought clocked in at just over $1600 CAD. That almost killed me (twice).

Nothing wrong with the SAM460, its a nice system. I just wanted a bigger step up from the Micro.
In this case, I really think you should ask about KVM switches on the Hyperion support forum, I'm hearing issues with switches & usb2. I have 2 monitors, so I'm using a usb 1.1 usb/vga switch without problems, but only switch the kb/mouse. I feel the SAM & x1000 are very close to the same with some h/w & a lot of x1000 users have experience with different types or KVM switches. _________________ X1000! I shall investigate before I buy.
The USB issues may be product dependant. If a KVM switch is done right (in theory) the connected inputs (video, mouse and keyboard) should always be present on all computers at all times. Unfortunately most KVM switches don't behave this way and how well each model may work on various systems is found out completely by trial and error.

DVI works fantastic here. Put signals straight in my 24 lcd and LCD led 47 tv at same time...
HD 4890 in X1000 of course! _________________ (AmigaOne X1000, AmigaOS 4.1 update 6) Thanks to Hyperion E, A-EON, Varisys and Amigakit! |

however, i think, the best video card for AmigaOS 4 (AmigaOne X1000 or AmigaOne 500) is Radeon HD 4650 because could be the fastest card with Gallium.

Been away from the latest AmigaOS developments for awhile, can you tell me if this new new driver enables compositing on a Radeon HD 4650? Thanks! SP

Surely if 0.33 shipped with the X1000 then it's public.
A quick look at the RadeonHD dev blog shows that 0.32 support DVI /HDMI on all 4000 series cards.
