@Rob

0.32 is the latest official public version.
Whatever versions you download from A-Eon in the future will be the latest public versions.

Err, 0.33 is still beta, let the inquisitions begin...

Surely if 0.33 shipped with the X1000 then it's public.

A quick look at the RadeonHD dev blog shows that 0.32 support DVI /HDMI on all 4000 series cards.

@all

What is the recommended card for an X1000 now and in the future?
4850, 54xx or 65xx?

Please can you also explain why.

The X1000 is sold only as a complete computer system with a video card installed. Are you asking because you want to purchase a different video card than the one that is pre-installed in all of the "First Contact" AmigaOne X1000 computer systems?

If the answer to my question is "Yes", then I guess the best recommendation would be to purchase the fastest Radeon HD card supported by the latest new driver from Hans (6970?). I am not sure which card it is, so someone else will have to answer, or you will need to do some research yourself.

So far all "First Contact" AmigaOne X1000 computers have been delivered with a Radeon HD 4650 installed in them, IIRC.

@ddni

Out of the 3 cards you named the 4850 is the most powerful. The other 2 cards have newer features but are in lower performance brackets.

The higher the second number the more powerful the card is because it will usually have a higher core clock, more stream processors and a wider memory interface and faster memory technology.

If you compare different card numbers on a manufacturers site such as the Sapphire Tech site you can see the differences between models.

I would suggest sticking with whatever Amigakit supply and wait for feedback from other users before you decide whether you need something more powerful or not.
