i have another idea, petunia reports to a program that it is running on an 020; not that it can't do 030 or 040 instructions, but because its most compatible with the body of software out there.
if fusion cant run on an a1200, it may break , thinking its running on an 020.
If you can get petunia to report an040 to the software- iirc that can be done, ifusion may run.

this is interesting, on an old emulation website....

note especially the data about warpup.library

12/14/00 iFUSION Screenshots Posted

Today, Microcode Solutions has posted screenshots of it's iFUSION for Amiga running Mac OS 9.0.4. They are currently in the middle of beta testing iFUSION and are quite pleased with it's compatibility and stability. No release date has been set for either the AmigaOS version or the PC port, but Microcode says it will be very soon (hopefully by Christmas for the AmigaOS version). Pricing for the Amiga version is set at $149.95 until December 24th. After the 24th, the retail price will be raised to $249.95. Jim Drew of Microcode also stated on the Macintosh Emulation forum that the Windows port of iFUSION will not be called iFUSION and will go for $49 to $79 retail when it is released.

The following is a small feature list for iFUSION:
Support for up to 1 gig of RAM
Support for hardfiles, CD-ROM drives, and partitions
Support for Apple's built-in virtual memory
Support for OS8.6 through OS9.04 (and likely higher, although this has not been tested)
Support for ANY screen size and resolution (including frequency selection)

System requirements (AmigaOS version):
WarpUp v16 (not available to the public at this time)
PPC card with at least 32MB of RAM (64MB preferred)
Cybergraphics v4 or later

interesting.

and this from the warpos wiki

AmigaOS 4 dropped initial scant support for WarpOS, with Hyperion Entertainment preferring to port its WarpOS games to the new OS rather than attempt to implement it. MorphOS is more compatible and can run both WarpOS and PowerUP applications natively using API wrapping, despite the differences in ABI.

maybe just maybe morphos could run ifusion....

Interesting. For fun I think I'll try running FusionPC 3.0 and Softmac on DosBox on Amiga Os4.1. Sounds painful...I know. But I'm curious.
Both are supposed to work with windows 95 / DOS based machines.

@Barana

Snoopdos shows successfully loading powerpc.library, no more errors after that, then the cli comes up saying "unable to load warp.library" and the program exists. Snoopdos shows nothing with respect to these issues, so I doubt I have all the parameters set to enable snoopdos fully to show everything. Anyone ever get the snoopdos prefs to work on OS4.1? It's a minor pain to have to run it under EUAE, change the prefs, save them, then load them in AmigaOS4.1. But do-able I guess.

@scabit

WarpUP emulation is separate package you need download from OS4Depot.net.

About Shapeshifter and Fusion, used tricks to reserve some vital memory used by the emulation, this does not work anymore, so programs can't work.

PrepareEmul for Shapeshifter
RsrvWarm and RsrvCold for Fusion

http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~miles.j/shape.html

One problem whit Ifusion was that cdrom support did not support physical cdroms only cdrom images, so I remember creating one by coping the content of the CD to a HFS formatted disk image.

@ZeroG

Tried set68kcpu to 68040. Verified using set68kcpu show, actually shows ALL versions as "yes" i.e. 68010,68020,68030,68040, 68881 and 68882. Is that how it is supposed to work?
Anyway, it doesn't make any difference with iFusionPPC. I get the same error as before.

Rats! Turns out that both FusionPC 3 and Softmac require the windows operating system to run, they won't just run from the DOS prompt in DosBox.

It would simply make my eyes tear up to install any version of "Windows" on my AmigaOne. The horror!

@Barana

Did you ever give iFusion a try? Just wondering what sort of errors you might have experienced.
