@BigBentheAussie

More than 2200 people have visited those pages (at the time of writing), I thought you'd welcome exposure? Just like the others within the Amiga community...(AROS, OS4 etc..etc..)..

Ahaha, surely not from us !

Congrats for the beautiful case !! Well done !!!

That's better. ACube is a class act, I tell you. I'm proud to own two ACube-powered computers.

I can see that a company is wanting to protect it's property but... the Amiga-scene is smaller then tiny. It is still breathing because it is on life-support by enthusiasts. People willing to take a mighty risk creating something new for their beloved machines, hoping they can help other Amiga-users who do not have the skills or ability. They accept that the chance to get back their investment is next to zero. Why on earth is a self pronounced global player in fear of such enthusiams? It's not that TheDaddy is going to sell hundreds of this case (well, I would welcome it if he could), pulling a lot of money away from that big company.

@afxgroup

I think I made it clear that the case comes blank, with nothing on, unless ACube want me to put a sticker on, same for Hyperion, AROS etc...etc...

They are not even stickers, they are bits of paper printed with an old inkjet on crappy supermarket 80g paper.

Ignore those CUSA scumbags...

If they want to challenge you in court the I'd be more than happy to cover any legal costs...

It's bad enough that CUSA promote and enable piracy with their crap OS but when scum like that who don't even own the Amiga Trademark or name start making idle threats to others here then I aint gonna stand for it...

TheDaddy, I'd be more than happy to take them on if they so wish, so if you receive any demands or threats from these slimy gits, get in touch with me and I'll arrange for my Solicitors to deal with these dregs of society...

@TheDaddy

Just edit your vid and cut the images with logos licensed to CUSA. Take Leo's comments as polite advice. If the Baron wants to sue then he's probably got every right.

Mind you it is quite ironic since they did the same and even promised to supply stickers to end users.

@BigBenTheAussie

Removed the tick and renamed the Amiga to Amica (Italian for female friend)...

Also added another disclaimer:

http://www.loriano.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/X500PLUS.html

I hope it's ok, all this Photoshopping is tiring.

@Franko

It's ok don't worry...thanks

An image has been presented to me of this unit featuring AMIGA branding. This is a friendly request to remove that from your advertising.

This means that on of these is true:

1) CUSA becomes a patent troll by bullying a hobbyist working from his garage.
2) CUSA is threatened by a hobbyist working from his garage.

You do realise that your company is not coming out so well in this picture, don't you?

Please don't take that route. You don't need that.

Trademark(s) have to be defended for legal reasons.

Bit rich that coming from the "unofficial" voice of a company who has been guilty of copyright theft of others images and whom supply a script in their OS for ripping files illegally from another companies product...

If it had been anyone else but one of our most vocal critics I would have been more discreet.
But he can't feign ignorance after everything he has written.
I can't help but see this as a provocation. That much is obvious.
This is a product he intends to sell or at least get public interest in to sell.
This is not slapping an Amiga sticker on your oven in your kitchen.
I am also formally requesting on behalf of Commodore USA, that you remove the Amiga branding from the video too.

@Franko

We've had contact from Cloanto about it and there was no request to remove the feature.

What is pretty rich...is that you'll give AROS Janus UAE a free pass to rip AmigaForever for the last couple of years.

Also, dredging up things that haven't been relevant for nearly two years that were apologised for REPEATEDLY at the time and since is also a bit much.

This is also coming from someone who was distributing Amiga ROMs from his website without the rights to do so.
