| Just to add:
I tried to type
run >NIL: c:NoMenuKey
Program works great from Shell.
But when put it into UserstartUp, so it shows like this:
;BEGIN MUI If EXISTS SYS:MUI C:Assign >NIL: MUI: SYS:MUI C:Assign >NIL: ADD LIBS: MUI:Libs C:Assign >NIL: ADD LOCALE: MUI:Locale C:Assign >NIL: ADD HELP: MUI:Docs
EndIf ;END MUI
run >NIL: c:NoMenyKey
assign tbimages: SYS:Prefs/Presets/tbimages ;BEGIN ArtEffect ASSIGN ARTEFFECT: AmigaOS:GFX/ArtEffect4-Demo ;END ArtEffect
*** it has no effect and I got error in CLI [during booting] that it can't execute NoMenyKey...
Well thats all about my basic. I am stuck? :) _________________ dj | my.www | my.deviantart | my.youtube | gfxriver |

About the clock thing. Does the clock start with the same date and time every reboot or is it a continued time. If it isn't a continued time then I'd blame the battery. I'd check battery voltage and/or if it's rightly in place. Be cautios though when handling the board. Last edited by Zylesea on 15-Jun-2012 at 10:00 PM.

No, it's sicky's typo - it is in *his* var settings...
The quickest way to start your tool through user-startup should be to alter the line from Quote:
...to:
run >NIL: C:NoMenuKey
EDIT: Ah, I see you worked it out for yourself...check the protection bits of your tool, "rwed" should be set. If not, do "protect C:NoMenuKey rwed" in a shell.Last edited by cha05e90 on 15-Jun-2012 at 10:05 PM. Last edited by cha05e90 on 15-Jun-2012 at 10:03 PM.

| Well... I figured it out.
in Startup sequence I type this:
... If EXISTS S:User-Startup Execute S:User-Startup EndIf
LoadWB
Run >NIL: *>NIL: C:SoundPlayer QUIET
Run >NIL: C:NoMenuKey
EndCLI >NIL: ...
and it works! Finally my Win keyboard works! RightAmigaKey is now Alt Gr key :) [Right Alt?] :))))
Strange that I had to figure out myself. Why not write this command line in help / readme file? :)
Ok. Keyboard - done :) Now lets see why I don't see Work: partition. _________________ dj | my.www | my.deviantart | my.youtube | gfxriver |

Well it started where it was last saved. For example if I turned on Amiga 2 days ago and turned off... 5 days later it will continue time from that day.
I did your command line in Shell... Will see how it will show tomorrow.
Well the main problem was strange question I got only once... about timing...?! So I didnt know [neither understood what I am asked to do!?] so I clicked... something... And now I have strange time. I will see tomorrow... :) _________________ dj | my.www | my.deviantart | my.youtube | gfxriver |

But did you try to set the kbddev_norwin ? instead of using this NoMenuKey program
If you can't see the JXFS partition, it's probably because you don't have JXFS loaded in your kicklayout file. Check that... _________________ Philippe 'Elwood' Ferrucci Sam460 1.15 Ghz AmigaOS 4 betatester Amiga Translator Organisation |

Sure not. What to type and where? In Dos or in Shell? I type in shell:
setenv kbddev_norwin
and nothing happens? _________________ dj | my.www | my.deviantart | my.youtube | gfxriver |

1) - Every time I boot Sam 460 ex to AmigaOS4.1 update 4 I have to wait boot sequence to stop and then type command
boota
Because UBoot didn't find:
autostart=yes _________________

This does not exist in Sam440 and Sam 460 Uboot options.

you need to set all of these with the Nvsetvar command from OS 4.1 CLI.
Nvsetvar boot1=usb Nvsetvar boot2=s4siicdrom Nvsetvar boot3=s4sii Nvsetvar s4sii_maxbus=1 Nvsetvar sii3114ide_conf=1002 Nvsetvar sii3114ide_timeout=5 Nvsetvar sii3114ide_xfer=G00F

As per PM, I've posted to Andreas about the Hollywood message see if he has any suggestions.
Back in the OS3.1 days in the startup-sequence was:
MakeDir RAM:T Assign T: RAM:T
Should this be/Is this in there still?
Update: Yeah Andreas has the same trail of thought. Make sure those two lines are in the start-up sequence somewhere before LoadWB. By default they should be set up, hence why I have no problem here myself. Last edited by djrikki on 16-Jun-2012 at 01:28 AM. Last edited by djrikki on 16-Jun-2012 at 01:26 AM.

It should read "Nvsetvar s4sii_maxbus=1" - there's a "s" to much.

These are only true IF his drive configuration is really the same...a quick "idetool -l sii3114ide.device" should solve this riddle._________________ X1000|II/G4|440ep|2000/060|2000/040|1000 |

Nevertheless this line should really be called in user-startup and not in the startup-sequence.

Because you're hacking and work-arounding a problem that shouldn't exist. You still haven't found a root cause and I can assure you that using this 3rd party tool will some day make problems.
The way you're setting up/manipulate your startup-sequence and the suboptimal or half-baked config of your UBoot enviroment variables are a secure way to ask for trouble. Maybe you should start to solve one problem/misconfiguration after the other (enduringly!) and not everything in parallel. This includes reading the documentation and re-entry yourself in basic usage of the CLI, Workbench, learn about UBoot and the like. _________________ X1000|II/G4|440ep|2000/060|2000/040|1000 |

Thanks for spotting that. Corrected
You are also correct about checking with Idetool though most 1 Hardrive + 1 CD drive setups are this way.

Hi Rikki
Thanks for your help. Unfortunatelly now I got message over the whole screen saying:
AmigaDOS MAKEDIR: "RAM:T" already exists.
And this was command line in StartUp seq:
... ConClip SYS:System/RexxMast >NIL:
If EXISTS S:User-Startup Execute S:User-Startup EndIf
MakeDir RAM:T Assign T: RAM:T
LoadWB ...
Seems no help... I will add ";" in front of it until it i solved... _________________ dj | my.www | my.deviantart | my.youtube | gfxriver |

Thank you very much! Now system seems to boot much faster - no annoying wait for several more devices!!! I type line by line in OS4 cli
you need to set all of these with the Nvsetvar command from OS 4.1 CLI.
Nvsetvar boot1=usb Nvsetvar boot2=s4siicdrom Nvsetvar boot3=s4sii Nvsetvar s4sii_maxbus=1 Nvsetvar sii3114ide_conf=1002 Nvsetvar sii3114ide_timeout=5 Nvsetvar sii3114ide_xfer=G00F
Still I have to type boota after "]" shows.
Any command line to autoboots without me typing boota every time? _________________ dj | my.www | my.deviantart | my.youtube | gfxriver |

I think cha05e90 already gave the answer in a precedent post :

Looks like the one he does not have is
bootcmd=menu; run menuboot_cmd
@ DJ Nick
last setting should be
nvsetvar bootcmd=menu; run menuboot_cmd _________________ Sam440ep-Flex 800Mhz ,1GB.Radeon HD6670 lowprofile via PCI to PCIe Adaper. Sam460ex 1.15Ghz, 2GB.Radeon HD6670 . Apex TM-302-3 Case |
