@1Mouse

You can fix files like that, without reinstalling for full? If so: cool. As it turns out, my Amiga just needed one more reboot to work, so ... erm... false alarm :P

But I still can't get fullscreen in DVPlayer even with paid version and the brackets on, my monitor will just show a black screen and then a "No signal" message each time DVPlayer tries to change resolution. Is it the gfxcard or my monitors fault?

@Androxyn

Each monitor will have a list of modes it will support, you need to look up the specs on it & enter them all in the monitor driver icon (MODE=axb@60 or 50).
Depending on the video size, the monitor will switch, but it needs a clue what mode it can switch to or it will just turn off.

@sundown

Adding MODE=640x480@60 changed nothing. I tried testing the different resolutions available at Prefs/ScreenMode. The lowest resolution that seem to work in fullscreen is 1024x768, which is weird since the monitor specs lists 640x480 as lowest. I guess it must be the gfx card drivers, then.

Can anyone with a Sam460ex display DVplayer full Screen ?
If so what are your Monitor files in Devs/Monitors ?

@Androxyn

Personally, at this point, I would move the current Devs:Monitors driver to storage & then do a re-boot to start over. Then open ScreenMode prefs & see if all your monitor modes are detected. You may need to rename the pref settings in ENV: & Prefs:Env-Archive/Sys before re-booting as well. Might be worth just deleting the 2 screenmode prefs files to see what you get first. A pref save will restore the prefs files, but remember, it will look in ENV: first

@Androxyn

It could be your monitor or cable. try this:
Open a shell and type:
dumpdebugbuffer ram:buffer.txt
Then either post the text here or email the file to me: ncc at f2s dot com
This will show if your monitor or cable are faulty and give a list of all supported modes. eg. mine is:

Won't that mean he has no display at all? (Or only 640x480x8 emergency mode if he is lucky.)

@Androxyn
I suggest doing what Severin asks.

I can't see any problems with that. What version of RadeonHD.chip are you using?

Erm, where do I find that? In Ranger/Gfx Boards it says "Board: Radeon RV730" and "Chipset: not yet implemented"

@Androxyn

Open a shell & paste the following:

version sys:kickstart/RadeonHD.chip

It will tell you the version number.

Wow, old driver. I have no idea what newer versions you're allowed, but you should contact Acube to find out, after the deal Trevor made with them.

@samo79

Since I am so enthusiastic (there is probably a more fitting word for it, but I prefer enthusiastic) I already bought the driver from A-Eon, thinking I would instantly get a link to the download by email. Not so... do I have to contact A-Eon now, then? Damn, the Amiga world is not very noobie friendly, just saying

I PM'ed Trevor with a link to your quest, he should be able to help you get going in the right direction with the driver updates.

@Androxyn

You should have received an email from A-EON with your user name and password to enable you to download the RadeonHD driver. Please check your Spam folder.

If the email is not in your Spam folder please PM me with your details (or send an email to contact(at)a-eon.com replacing (at) with @ )

TrevorD

(Thanks Sundown)

Brilliant, going from RadeonHD.chip 0.15 to 0.49 fixed my fullscreen issues. Also I got to see the OS4 welcoming pic for the first time, I didn't even know it was there :P
