@OlafS25
Sadly been a joke for years in my opinion. Has not been good since the early days of Wayne.
Went downhill about the time when he joined genesi, which also made the site very biased when it came to moderation. Then went further downhill when it was sold off some years later.

So how much does amiga.org cost monthly to run? How big a database does it require?

I was in talks with them in the early days when Wayne offered the website for 10k USD. They proposed a 50/50 deal but being they are a company and in the sector, I walked away. So glad I did now, I think it would be as messy as I imagined. Now the only site I would consider buying is this one if DaveyD ever wanted out, or to get some "shareholders" to make a few quid from this excellent site.

I know Trevor Dickinson and Matthew Leaman are both proven professionals and I think they are the only two I would "go in" with. Not saying there aren't other great business people in the community, just I don't have 1st hand knowledge of their way of conducting themselves.

Edit: Added DaveyD may want to release share of Aw.net, not give it up totally.

@Thread

it seems Aladdin 4D development for Amigaoid OSEs (officially started at Dec. 2007 http://amigaworld.net/modules/news/article.php?storyid=4113 ) had came to an halt after the OSX version was cancelled and an Amiga developer was hirered ( project change at Mar. 2012 http://amigaworld.net/modules/news/article.php?storyid=6297 )

Well after years of doing nothing (my impession) and 5 month of heavy development the project seems over. Something is rotten in the management of this project.

Suddenly a forum was taken down and started up again because a developer (not present in this forum) "dissapointed" you, reminds my to the end of the Amizilla bounty because the "evil trolls at Moobunny made you do it".

This could be childish or this childish behaviour is just a weak mask for an unethical behaviour ...

Some people here might complaine about those "trolls" at a.org but the problems of "the community" are not the "evil trolls and naysayers" , the problems are those people that are still on board of the sinking ship hold there by false loyality and naive beliefs instead of repopulating new found continents.

Might be re-opened after staff discussion of "political correctness" of the subject matter.
