Once again, another Amiwest Show 2012 video has been posted. It is "Panel discussion at the Amiwest Show 2012". Find it at

http://blip.tv/file/6416746

This is the panel discussion held after the show banquet on Saturday night. Discussing a wide range of Amiga topics are Matthew Leaman of AmigaKit, Trevor Dickinson of A-EON, Jason McMullan representing AROS, Steve Solie representing Hyperion, Dave Morris representing the Amiga user, and Bill Bosari moderating.

@Trevor

Kickstarter is now also available in the UK.
Any ETA about your A-EON project there?

No, I was not present to record any of the programming sessions of Thursday and Friday.

@kamelit0

I did the recording but I lack Roberts ability to edit. I've found some help and the data has been sent. Hopefully we will have something to share in a few weeks.

@all

Thanks to LyleHaze for his work so far on Bars and Pipes, I've updated AmigaOS.net. over the last couple of days to include 'Bars and Pipes' amongst others - go check what's new for AmigaOS..

If anyone wants an overview of Bars and Pipes, perhaps you haven't got the time to watch the video right now click the link below.

http://www.amigaos.net/software/123/bars-and-pipes

Thanks to LyleHaze for providing me with a write-up of which thankfully I didn't have to edit too much.

PS. Would like to include SketchBlock on the site if @Broadblues can indulge me in writing up a paragraph or two - or anyone for that matter. What it does? What it can do? A bullet point list.

PPS. If anyone has any screenshots of their SketchBlock creations please submit them to this thread or PM me a URL.

@djrikki

Thanks for the writeup!
Just a quick note: "SoftSyn", the software synthesizer,
has had a nasty bug fixed, and thanks to a great find by
Tekmage, it even comes with a soundfont now!

This really makes getting it set up and working MUCH
easier than before..

The new version is 0.3.1, and it is currently in the upload
queue at the Depot.

If you had trouble with the previus version, Please give it
another try..

Just unpack the archive to wherever you want it, then
double-click the "GeneralUser.sf2" icon..

Couldn't be much easier!

Lyle

@lylehaze

No problem. I realise you aren't directing your reply purely at myself, more of a collective 'we', but in regard to SoftSyn I would like to reply anyway. At present never used Bars and Pipes nor SoftSyn. My only experience with Midi software is QMidi available for MacOS - for the purpose of playing Karaoke tracks ^.^

@djrikki

I don't normally encourage singing out loud, but seeing as today is your birthday and all, I guess I'll make an exception.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU...

Wow, that was really painful to hear.

Be glad that audio is not part of the forum feed..

Great to see more videos being released.

Any chance of getting the latest ones up on Intuitionbase as well? (Eliyahu?)

TIA

Best regards,

Niels
