@thread

Based on posts #69 and #70 in
this thread

Depending on which closing statement you choose to believe, it's either a case of failure to pay license fees or a case of licenses being terminated with both CommodoreUSA and
http://manomio.com/

The charges levied at Asiarim are extremely steep, imo. After the court decides, we may learn a bit of the true history never before told, at least in terms of being told through a court proceeding.

The last 3 documents from "C=Holdings B.V. v. Asiarim Corporation et al" are well worth a read if you want to hear both sides of the story and can fathom reading over 100 pages of legalese.

Maybe after the court renders their decision.
But the matters discussed go all the way back to Tulip and Yeahronimo days, so it's a lot to digest.
Chock full of phrases like "collusion/fraud/perjury".

For docs #92-94 absolutely, if you have any historical interest.
But you can wait for the court's decision if you like.
After all, these are closing statements concerning how each side sees the truth.

I'd skip anything regarding Leadgate atm, because the court has dismissed this one, unless the complaint is amended by July 31, 2013. No word on that yet.

Well, this is weird. From Facebook:

Quote:
Announcement: I have added Jason Chau as a Content Creator for this page. Jason was one of the first customers of CUSA and had a lot of interaction with the staff including founder Barry Altman.

Jason also has a life time of experience with Commodore/Amiga and is knowledgeable not only about the history of the brand but also technically knowledgeable as well. I know that Barry would very much app...rove of adding Jason.

I have asked Jason to help formulate the Commodore "editorial" content of this page and to help me work with all of you to figure out what our community needs here (from this page and from each other). I'm sure Jason will make an 'introductory' post shortly, of course he is no stranger to this page.

I noticed it myself yesterday. First time I have heard of this guy. I noticed he tried to make out like he was a close personal friend of Barry's in one of the posts. Who supposedly also holds lots of secret, not just Dammy then, information.

I have noticed though they are switching to a "fan centric" approach with it. Not that they did very much beyond the C64x and rebadged machines. But suppose it confirms that CUSA is doing nothing now other than gathering dust.

On a side note it's interesting to read the amount of people who think CUSA owned the brands rather than the truth that they simply licensed them. Even this Jason character seems to be under this idea.

Ditto for those who accept the Amiga Inc. wiki re:owning vs licensing.

Apparently. From the same post:

Already mentioned in the Amiga Games Inc. thread, but on-topic for this thread as well:

https://twitter.com/AmigaGamesInc/status/388353486955360256/photo/1

Apparently now CUSA is part of Amiga Games Inc. history of accomplishments.

Wonder how long it will take them to sell what is left of their stock. I keep seeing pleading notices of stock availability on the CUSA fan page. They also dropped their acknowledgment of the CUSA stuff from their own facebook pages and now the sales site only shows a brief mention of CUSA at the bottom of the page.

@CritAnime

Well this answered my own question. (sorry for the mobile version. I was out and about when I checked the page.)

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=715124908505699&id=181491231869072&__user=521765954

So they are down to the last few units. I wonder how many they actually had.
