As i havn't got any answers about my motherboard through the ticketsystem recently i'm asking here.

In a few months 2 years has passed since i sent my motherboard to Amigakit.
I know it was in pretty bad condition (and that it might be unfixable), but i would just like it back even though it has not been fully fixed.

Thanks

@phoenixkonsole

I can't remember. I think return shipping was included in the cost, not sure if it was tracked though.

@phoenixkonsole

Yes i asked about it via their ticket system a few times and got answers.
They said that they fixed the audio issues but that the mouse port started getting issues after that, and thats still how it is i believe.

observing that from the outside it seems, people have accepted to live in a wormhole where there is no time.

Please continue to use our Support Ticket system to communicate with our Technician about repairs: www.amigakit.com/support

We read the support tickets on a daily basis so please update your existing ticket with any questions you have (don't create a new ticket as this can cause fragmentation of the subject thread).

Our Technician does not visit here often so it is unlikely he will see any questions you post here for him.

The majority of repairs on Amigas are quick to turnaround. However, some repairs on 30 year old computers can be troublesome when there is extensive damage from leakage. This can take *many* hours of work, removing ICs, carefully cleaning the PCB, rebuilding corroded tracks - the most time intensive element is fault finding and when there are hundreds of components for the Technician to eliminate, it can be an exhaustive process. Every man hour spent on a board costs us as a business and sometimes with some boards, the price the customer has paid for the repair is dwarfed by the actual cost to our business and certainly the cost of the hardware. So to minimise the risk, we have to either work on it between jobs or call it beyond economical repair.

@fryguy

I noticed that you opened multiple support tickets and did not stick the same ticket regarding the repair. It can be problematic as the "thread" gets difficult to track when there are a quite a few tickets opened about the same subject. Only the original ticket is assigned to the Technician. We have a notice on our Support Ticket system urging customers to stick to one ticket per subject.

@fryguy

obviously its too late, but as ive mentioned above, in germany there are few people doing repairs in appropriate time and for a reasonable fee. i got an completely broken a4k board repaired and refurbished for about 100€ afair, which took few weeks, perhaps 2 months quite a while back. i even wonder how can this be as cheap, but perhaps with a good knowledge of hardware and good equipment the problems are found soon. the communication was very good. i think two years in repair is a bit much. if an item is found irreparable it may be returned to the owner at examination and shipping cost or recycled, but it shouldnt take more than weeks.

@fryguy

Two years and you're still getting crap like, "use our ticket support system".
Man, youre a lot more patient than me.
Two freaking years, and theyre trying to suggest that your actions are the cause (still trying to pass blame to ticketing system or whatever).
Man, that's absolutely ridiculous.
Id be taking legal action by now.
Heck, you've even stated you just want it back to be met with a response, again about "ticketing system".
People cant steal things only to then blame a ticketing system That's not how the real world works :) Or rather shouldn't be.
