@Rob

There you go.

Thanks Rob.

I also think that there is a reason when you're typing for example in a word processor? If you're typing and press Scroll Lock to get Help then Help pops up but any other key would act as that key (End in this case)...I think that is the reason.

A quick off topic...

All the LEDs (sleeved and with the colour coded heatshrink) to be used in the X500 Plus and the X500 Evo cases have arrived:

Blue and Green LEDs for you.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It looks like the majority are interested in the Cherry MX Blue (clickety-click) switches.
What do you think?
Check youtube for the different types of Cherry MX Switches (Red, Blue, Black and Brown).
I do like the Black or Red ones myself. Smooth, quiet and for gamers.

@TheDaddy

Viewing this video, I have to admit that blue switch is the one with the sound that i like least

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUN93Xz-7pg

At the moment my favourite clicking is the brown one, but i like also the red one.

I'll let you know my choice

@kyle

I find the Blue switches the most "satisfying"
But I like the quietness of the Red or Black ones and the fact that for gamers are ideal - smooth feel and double tapping becomes a joy.

OK

A quick update:

The X500 Plus plastic parts are getting small improvements as I write this, they'll include almost the same features as the Evo:

1) New, top air vents

2) Same spacing and increase in vents slots together with extra holes for up to two 50x50x10 fans.

3) All the cases ordered will come with the quieter Scythe 50x50x10mm and 40x40x10mm fans and not the Fractal Design ones - this is at no extra cost (I've paid the extra cash).

4) I've modified the right side holes for the silicone mounts for the 40mm fan. They are now going to be spaced so that the user can decide where to position the 40mm fan. For example to the right, centred or to the left OR add a second fan and have one on the left and one on the right (we are talking about the right side of the case). This way someone can have up to two 40x40x10mm fans on the right side, one 40x40x10mm on the rear (as long as the motherboard allows it - flex-atx boards might not like the presence of a fan there) and up to two 50x50x10 under the cover (above the graphics card).
Of course you can alter the air intake of the fan by flipping them over so you can have one sucking in and one pushing air out, two in and two out, all sucking air in or all pushing air out. It's up to you.

Silicone mounts:

I bought 800 of them, more when I can raise some more money (yes the Kickstarter cash didn't quite cover the entire cost).

These silicone mounts are for...mounting fans but they also absorb vibrations, I thought better spend more on these than using cheaper alternatives such as screws.

They all come in black, can't find them in white so I'm experimenting with some white colouring of just the heads of the mounts so that they disappear on a white case.

Phew! I think that is about it...

No actually...I've got all the power switches (I was happy to find the ones that say POWER SW on them and not RESET SW), I know they are hidden but it's a nice touch. Got all the slim DVD-RW drives (black and white bezels) with slim SATA cables.
All the 105 LEDs, sleeved and with colour matching heatshrinks.

Still a few things to buy while waiting for the parts (plastic and aluminium) to be machined.

Hello,

Quick update:

I've just completed the Amiga key caps for the following languages:

Italian
German
U.K. (base layout)
Russian (dual U.K./Russian)
Serbian-Latin
Danish
Swedish/Finnish
U.S.A. (rectangular shaped Enter key version - ANSI)
U.S.A. (ISO version, big Enter key as in the U.K. version but with American symbols and letters positioned where they should be for example "@" on "2", "\" stays on the left and so on...)
Spanish (es-ES)

More languages when I've got some spare time...

This will be a unique Amiga keyboard (as for Russian and many ...)
since Commodore never bothered to localize keyboards

they did localize keyboards, i ha a swedish one for instance, of course they didnt localize in eastern european languages since this was no valid market, or how comes you couldnt afford amiga in the eighties..

I'll work on another couple of languages and then stop, these should cover the majority of our needs.

In despite of difficulties, quite a lot of Amigas were sold in e.g. Poland,Hungary, ex-Yugoslavia.
Off course, due to falling communism and yet establishment of capitalism it wasn`t seen as valid market as import was based on efforts of local individuals and companies.

We could afford Amigas with heavier burden on individual standards, as it is also today
as quite poorer half of Europe. But enthusiasm is a driver

Example: even today Poland stands 5th

i only wanted to say commodore was localizing keyboards and eastern europe was not that of a marked at this time.
why there are so many amiga owners in poland (~250) i dunno, guess mostly second hand and all because amiga was so legendary to us in the eighties. afterwards there was also a big (coding) scene with notable demo groups, today they continue with morphos and to lesser degree with aros.

Again, congrats on your successful Kickstarter project and finally being able to produce your custom case design that you have worked on for so many years.
