Got the Lyra 2 Keyboard Adapter, Micromys V4 Mouse Adapter, AmigaOne keyboard, Boing ball Mouse and EasyADF PCMCIA CF Transferkit.

Im impressed how easy it was to install and use. Virtually Plug and Play

The A1200 is starting to feel very much usable, so looking forward to when I get my CDrom and OS3.9 CD.

Tho, if there are more upgrades arriving for the A1200, I might be "forced" to tower it.

Hi all,

Thanks for your patience while my wife and I were in Japan and mourning following a sudden death in our family. It has been a tough few weeks.

I am keen to get back into fun things now, so this weekend I am back into Amiga things again.

I have updated my blog with an entry looking at the CDTV SCSI Controller expansion card, AztecMonster and even my Amiga 2000 along the way.

Link is here:

http://classicamiga.blogspot.com.au/2014/08/cdtv-installing-scsi-controller-and.html

I hope you enjoy it!

@klx300r & others

Thanks for your kind words - the Amiga is certainly helping me to keep my spirits up in a tough period.

@all

Quick Part 1 blog post I put together tonight to show a working AmigaOS4.1 Classic under WinUAE using the new Beta 12 version! Includes the settings I used for WinUAE to get it working if this is of interest.

More work to do on it (HD install, etc) but exciting! Ran out of time tonight - midnight here now. I will do more another day soon though

I hope you enjoy!

Hi All,

Part 2 of my AmigaOS4.1 Classic installation on WinUAE is now completed on my Classic Amiga blog. it covers the hard disk file prep and installation onto the hard disk file under WinUAE.

Link is here:

http://classicamiga.blogspot.com.au/2014/08/amigaos41-classic-on-winuae-part-2.html

I hope this is interesting - I am having a great time doing this setup on WinUAE - this is an exciting first step BETA development for Amiga users to be able to cheaply run AmigaOS4.1 Classic on a standard PC!

Impressive guide, thanks!

I think I will wait with installation until WinUAE gets faster PowerPC CPU core (QEMU).

This is quite amazing! I hope this functionality makes its way from WinUAE to FS-UAE; if it does, I shall probably be an AmigaOS 4.1 Classic user in the near future.

@bison

Development build of fs-uae for mac os x support Amiga ppc now as it uses the WinUAE Beta 12 base. but the picasso iv rom support is not working in fs-uae (option is not there yet).

so I can't transfer my winuae hdf across and use it yet. Hopefully the support will be ported across soon. The author of fs-uae is aware of it as questions have been asked and answered on the fs-uae forum on eab about it..

http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=74781

I am working on installing the SDK and code bench onto the AmigaOS4.1 classic build on WinUAE at the moment...long install. Going to head off to bed now, so blog entry will have to wait at least another day.

Catcha,
Epsilon

I'm more interested in the Linux version of FS-UAE. I'm using OS X at the moment, but only because I'm on a local network that disallows Linux.

Hi All,

I have written the final Part of the AmigaOS4.1 Classic build in WinUAE (Part 3).

Link is here:

http://classicamiga.blogspot.com.au/2014/08/amigaos41-classic-on-winuae-part-3.html

I hope you enjoy it. I know there is more things I could do with the build (network access ,etc), but I achieved what I wanted to do the build for at this point - being able to run code bench and the AmigaOS4.1 sdk.

I will play around with AmigaOS4.1 Classic in WinUAE more in the future as the performance improves in the emulation!

Hi All,

I have updated the Classic Amiga blog with two entries looking at running AmigaOS4.1 Classic on FS-UAE 2.5.18dev and later 2.5.19slirp development versions on MAC OS X.

Links are here:

http://classicamiga.blogspot.com.au/2014/10/amigaos-41-classic-with-fs-uae.html

http://classicamiga.blogspot.com.au/2014/10/amigaos-41-classic-with-fs-uae-2518dev.html

For those going to AmiWest this year I will be bringing this Macbook setup with me if you want to take a look - a few people have already asked me to run a short session at AmiWest on how to set this up for them

Hope you enjoy it.
