the board in the picture K-L links to still says "Sam460ex".

I think the CR is an Ex with audio, video, and SATA chips left off.

Since the actual board is the same, they only need to remove a couple
components from the pick & Place machine when the board is assembled.

Having a new stencil made up for the on-board Text is not expensive,
but if they already have ex boards ready to go, there's no harm in using them.

Using the exact same board for both makes a lot of sense, since it avoids
all the NRE of designing a new board.

Acube Systems SRL Michael Holmes It is a picture of a "cr". Direct link to the picture: http://www.amiga-ng.org/resources/Sam460/Sam460cr.jpg It's still written "ex" at the top left because it's the same PCB. But look at the connectors, VGA, SATA are missing

@Everblue

If you have not already done so, it might be useful to send Acube an email expressing interest in buying one, that way if a queue has formed you will be in it.

Just in case it's a small batch of machines.

@Everblue

Yes. An attempt to use a dual slot RadeonHD card and pcie extender so
that the PCI slot is not blocked .
all I need is the motherboard .

@Spectre660

This is what I will be getting:

http://www.conrad.com/ce/en/product/872227/Graphics-card-Sapphire-1-GB-DDR3-RAM-PCIe-x16/?ref=home&rt=home&rb=1

http://www.conrad.com/ce/en/product/1220348/Bitfenix-GEBF-108-Micro-ATX-Computer-Case-External-Slots-4-Internal-Slots?ref=searchDetail

With a 128GB SSD and DVD Drive.

By the way, haw many Watts would it require for my setup's PSU?

Nice.

Do you know if you can connect the USB 3.0 internal cables to the Sam motherboard ?

No idea, but I doubt it. Are the pin headers compatible?

@Everblue

No they are not.
So you would only have the 2 rear usb ports unless you use a usb hub
or a converter cable

@Spectre660

I wonder whats with the heatsink & fan on the CPU.

Does anyone think they may have overclocked?

A Sam460ex doesn't normally ship with a H/S and Fan unit.
