@amigang

Odyssey works here with AMIStore when set in URL Prefs under the HTTPS tab:

You can change avatar by viewing your profile and then click on the avatar, an ASL requester will appear to select the image from your hard drive and then click OK to upload

@amigakit

As already answered on amigans.net, i wouldn't do that.

There was a reason the URL Prefs has both a HTTP and a HTTPS configuration section.

With your setup you are bound to access every secure site unsecure (excluding those that force https://)

edit: To be quite honest, if your site doesn't cope with https:// from browsers, fix your site and not the browser

@broadblues

I have exactly the same settings, but again I cannot buy anything. AMIStore's checkout page appears perfect in https://, but when I press to proceed to paypal for the payment, nothing; just loading-loading and then error message.

Can you login to paypal normally? Ie via www.paypal.com ? or local equivalent?

If not, try flushing cookies browser cache etc.

@Phantom

Sounds like you have the same issue as me, I dont really understand, as I can log in to Amazon, emails, forums all fine with the browser but Paypal just wont work, weather it powered by Amistore or I just load it up on the browser. I have tried as spoofing as Chrome and Firefox no, luck, change my URL pref to the above, but still get Error code 52 (no headers, no data) fault. This is on both Netsurf, OWB 1.16, and Odyssey. Timberwolf for what every reason is suddenly not loading up anymore.

In NetSurf, try disabling JavaScript.

tired no change, apart from it just taken longer for it to throw up the error.

its not the end of the world if I cant get it to work as I come to the conclusion I think I've made a few errors in my AmigaOS4 setup and will start a fresh with OS4.1 Final Edition when that comes out.

Just thought I'd give it one more go, and it worked, no idea how or why, but seem to be working now, with Odyssye. so maybe it was a paypal sever issue all along or something. I dont know, just please its seems to be working.

I managed to login successfully to PayPal and paid for my first order, but only when I used a proxy server. If I switch it off, I still have the same problems with paypal. Neat...

Any ideas why this is happening?

@Phantom

Hi,
I write this message because I have this problem with paypal for some time now.
Could you explain your solution? How to use an configure a proxy to resolve that problem?

@Yescop

Same problem here. I can get PayPal to load up vis OWB (although I cannot use this in AmiStore of course) but Odyssey just sits with a blank page - no matter what I spoof. Sometimes it returns with a 'no data found - header' error as described here.

This is a clean 4.1 FE install with the URL prefs set as indicated.

I cannot purchase from AmiStore :(

Can I add funds via my PC instead?

@-Sam-

For me too, it's no more possible to use Odyssey with AmiStore.

Nevertheless, it works with old Reaction OWB, you just have to change your Prefs/URL (http & https) like that :

Try it with zTools

@-Sam-

This is very strange because we still have many users here checking out with AMIStore during the last few days so OWB must be working and AMIStore Checkout must be too.

@amigakit

Yes it is strange. I have tried a clean install of Odyssey - and it is a clean install of FE.

OWB shows it perfectly but I didn't think it worked with AmiStore due to security support?

The problem would seem to be with Odyssey and PayPal itself.

@zzd10h

I get the 'Server returned no headers' when I use OWB - version 3.32

PayPal will only show up in Odyssey if I load up a new instance of the browser - it won't do it in a different tab. I eventually get 'Error 52'. If I open in a new instance the first screen will load but as son as I click to login I get 'Error 52' again.

Can some kind soul who has used AmiStore over the last few days tell me which browser, version and URL prefs they used to get it to work?

I believe you have the same problem as me - but by the looks of it you have had it a while!

I used vnc to copy and paste the "https:" line that is sent to Odyssey to a browser on a Windows box and make the payment from there. Once the payment is made quit the payment in AMistore and go back to the checkout. it will give you the option to use the funds that have been added.

hope that someone will identify what causes the issue .
