Scroll bars do not respond to dragging. No doubt due to the weird interface.

Why not use a Reaction or MUI interface where the GUI elements will work as expected.

Still no VAT inclusive prices.

Otherwise looking good.

@BillE

I think because it heavily customized even with MUI or Reaction.
Making a customized GUI might be bit more work, but some times it makes sense.
It all depends on what your wont to make.

@AmigaKit

Is it possible to add a little notifications (a little number for example) on the "Search" picture when there are "Friends requests" pending ?

Thank you

I posted a while back about launching AMIStore, but nothing seemingly
came up. In 'Exchange' the program was running. The other day, after I
switched to a higher resolution, the GUI came up.

With this in mind, I would recommend a resolution check. It was very
confusing when the GUI didn't open.

Regards,
Kotler

What resolution were you running on when the GUI didn't open?

Smaller than the window?

[edit]

As an experiment I reduced my Workbench screen mode in steps, stop and restarting AmiStore each time, it worked fine down 800x600 when I stepped to 640x480 a requesetr opened saying that Hollywood was unable to chnage the display size to 680x170 (for the splash window I expect).

Were you using a screen that small?

Why?

@broadblues

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I am running WinUAE with OS 4.1 Classic in a resolution of 960x540 px.
It`s a kind of special Widescreen mode I`ve created, that fits nicely on my Windows desktop.

I think this answers the question, 960x540 is not a standard AmigaOS
resolution. Maybe that`s why Hollywood is not catching it.

I do get the first splash window, but the GUI will not open, and no
requesters are shown.

Best regards,
Kotler

@Kotler

I'd guess wideenough to show the splash but not tall enough for the main window.

I just bought the RadeonHD 2.4 driver and PPaint 7.3 using the AmiStore client and the GUI interface worked perfectly fine for me.

Not every program needs to have a generic ReAction/MUI interface in my opinion.

@amigakit

Ranger download now fixed for me, thanks

I have set the download dir to another partition than the main exe.
Yet, while the update was done, the download dir was still created in the same place as the exe.

@amigakit

Update seems to have some problems in prices, or it's special prices for greek-only users?

The prices are mentioned that they include 20% VAT, but on checkout they are less. For example Personal Paint 7.3 PPC shows a price-tag of 22.80 EUR but on checkout the total is less, the same applies for RadeonHD v2.4 driver. From 60 EUR it gives a checkout of 19 EUR total. Should I buy it?

@Phantom

If you own RadeonHD v1.2, you get a special price for upgrading to RadeonHD V2.4. AMIStore detects that you are an existing user and applies the discount.

Great!
I'll buy my upgraded version of RadeonHD drivers in a few days.
Any clue about the release of new version of DvPlayer and MPlayer?

I tryed AmiStore and I think ts interesting but:

- IMHO have a GUI too much customised, I prefer to have a standard AmigaOS GUI since was a system app

- I like to have asyncronous trasfers(maybe only due to beta status)

- I like to have better scrolbars/general navigation feedback(also maybe due to beta stage)

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

@Phantom

WRT to the PPaint one they only show as €19 here, the base price is £15.00

so €19.00 x 1.2 = 22.80 which would seem right for price plus VAT

Did you buy both 68 and PPC ? Might be discount for both? Not 100% sure on that though.

@broadblues @Phantom

Yes thats correct, if you buy PPaint NG then you get a discount if you go and buy PPaint 68K afterwards and vice versa.

I didn't get a discount here. Is it because I bought the older driver directly from A-eon? I used the same username and password for logging into AmiStore as I've used to access the driver download area on a-eon.com.
