If they buy it they will be Dead end anyway.

Buying is easy, developing costs more and is something they can't do alone.
Dead end.

Pagestream: Would be great! Will profit from speedimprovement gained through the PPC port!

Arteffect: Would be nice, but runs quiet well already as 68k

FinalWriter: As long as following releases will improve functionality. Depending on the state of LibreOffice Port it might not be needed.

We have, however, keep in mind, that once aquired and ported, the work is not done. You have to maintain it as well.

Once again I cry out for Pagestream

Directory Opus =)

Just a theoretical question (probably the answer is 'no') - how possible is that an old Amiga game is ported (not running through UAE) to run natively on Amiga OS4.1? That would be something!

Here we go again..

Essentials:

- IBrowse kind of Timberwolf
- Final Writer
- Deluxe Paint (Yeah, I'll try the PPaint once it's loadable for the 15£ with the XE so the Net First)
- TurboPrint

Imagine was free sometime, Real3D too and some Coverdisks in Vista. Now there would be power.

For Games:

Skidmarks 3, Zeewolf 4D, Giana Sisters 2, SuperCars 3, Deluxe Galaga 2 (I know Edgar did Bladewars but not any good), Stunt Car Racer, It Came From The Desert 3, RampArt 2, Cannon Fodder, Persian Gulf Inferno, Speedball 3... You know;)

I have to agree with phoenix with regads to drivers, tho we already know Hans is working on Radeon drivers and Timberwolf is a Fridens project. Its unclear to me if the radeon driver development pace can be accelerated even futher,

Seems to be that getting software to the platform which enpowers people to be productive with their rather expensive hardware seems to be the focal point. No point with hardware if you got nothing fancy to run on it. So the question then becomes should all/most resources be poured into drivers asap, with little software available.

Pagestream seems to be the common request.

Other officepackages seems to be obsolete for AOS 4.x with Libreoffice, and if terminills brings the Softwood range the "classic" line should be covered.
Paint packages are already covered by Personal Paint and SketchBlock (YES Andy, i know its not AeonKit development!). So spending money to acquire something that is already being covered doesnt quite make sense.

Printersupport seems to be another common issue.
