You need to register OS4.1FE at the Hyperion web site. Amiupdate won't work unless you enter a valid username & password.

@Xenic

There seems to be some clarification about FE/updates/server here:

I suggest reading Rigo's posts

For those who choose to apply all the updates instead of buying the consolidated FE, this may be relevant:

So those of you wondering why you are not seeing any updates, and are not running "Final Edition", may well be subject to the "end of line" scenario for your OS version.

If I set the server to www.update.amigaos.net I get ringhio telling me the connection to the site failed.

Not suprising as there is no www at the from of the update domain.

If I set the server too update.amigaos.net I get a logon requester asking for a username and password and when I leave both boxes empty and click connect it hasn't done a scan.

If you didn'y enter the username and password why are you suprised it didn't scan? It didn't ask for them for fun The user and password are you login details for the hyperion site IIRC. You can probably cut and paste them from the amiupdate confifg on your update6 partition, if you can't remeber them.

I am aware that updates are available but at present AmiUpdate just can't access them.

I'm not sure if there are any yet, except maybe the MUI update. I also get offered wrap3d but that's because I have Wazp3D on my X1000 and the version number is old.
