@Robert

I just read the tutorial as a howto and didn't expect to see actual example files, but I supose that might help the confidence of a beginner.

I just applied the instruction in the tutorial to an existing project, but assume you have an existing project I suppose

That's a good point. It could use anything then that works. Which could be Python.

No it wasn't it was totally wrong

The installer is bespoke and in the word of Rigo on irc a while back "any similarity to the Installer Utility is entirely deliberate" ie he made his own installer but use the Installer Utilty as a style guide.

Yes, nice simple walkthroughs are encouraging for thickos like me and, I'd guess, newbies in general.

Really? I would have thought the Radeon would be faster. But I don't know how long they have been around. Even so perhaps treat yourself to a 9250.

@Tuxedo

Still developed AFAIK. It hasn't had a full commercial release yet to my knowledge.

@broadblues

interesting but:

- when it will be placed on market?
- It will support Hollywood over version 4 that was quite old?

ATM was pretty useless fo Hollywood users and also if someone will remove free license limitations cant ...

You could try asking the author of the software (Simon Archer) he's done great job so far.

I only test the C / SDK side of it, but as far as I understand the Hollywood side has prgressed too.

@broadblues

No problems with the Hollywood side of things either, of course just one version behind now

There are also (is public knowledge) that other 'sides' are being worked on.

I'm pretty sure it is faster but something in the upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1FE disagreed with it to the point I couldn't see certain icons so slower is better than not working.

Well, I'll wait and see if I start using my A1 regularly again before upgrading it.
