This is similar to a project of mine (Monalisa).
The hardware have a chip capable of decoding 3 1080p stream (or 2 1080p play and one 1080p rec simultaneously).
There is a DSP of 1,1 ghz and another chip.

Already contacted the vendor at that time. The card already exist.

If someone would continue bringing this on the Amiga (A-eon and Acube invited) i will be happy to give them all the details.

Even the 440 could be able to play 1080p

Sounds very interesting. My approach is more simple and and producible just in time. So I don't need to ensure a minimum order.. I can build it on request, and everyone can build its own.. the software will be available stand alone.

It is still a draft.. names are subject to change.. I am actually in contact with another party which can act as gateway to D-Way ... which means that the money goal can be lowered down. But for people really interested in Quantum computing it will mean higher fees if direct access is needed. For everyone else there will be a work queue.

Everything else like VCPU and Pool of regular VM's will not be affected when we lower the target.

While the campaign is targeted at Raspberry, the result will work on AmigaOS and MorphOS as well.

As allways:
I don't beg for your money : ) But if you have a look at the gifts you can "earn" by donating, you will see that it is like pre-ordering.

The campaign will start as soon we are ready with AmiCloud. So the campaign will be the earliest way to get access to the AmigaOS Version.

Maybe you like also some of the other things.
Quanta@home is just a side product but "for me" a interesting one.
Basically a virtual but more powerful variant of the AmigaNX add-on described here.

I tried to make a 3.5" Version of the AmigaNX (a Siamese clone based on a Raspberry Pi) but instead I choose to offer a Pci/Pci-e dummy which holds the Pi, the swith and Molex to Pi-Power-supply. The Card will have to Ethernetports. 1 to connect to your router and one to the Onboard Ethernet of your Amiga. The Raspberry Pi will provide internetsharing for Wifi and you can share files via Bluetooth. Both Dongles are included and attached to he Raspberrry Pi 2 sitting on the Card. One USB will be routed to the Cards I/O shield so you can attach any Printer you like. The pi Comes with AEROS which again is a Debian bases Distribution. On the Amiga side of things we will offer a GUI to manage those Features without the Need of ssh or VNC. But you can use both to connect to the Pi as well. Another Feature of the AmigaNX is that that Pi can do realtime transcoding of HD movies to lower bitrates. So you can watch them on any Amiga Player capable to Play streams. (mplayer : ) )

This is no active PCI/Pcie Card. It is just placed in a free Slot to find place in your case. This design is again cheaper than the last 5.25" Slot Version. So you can roughly say if I produce a single board: Material and print: 30€, Pi2 40€, Ethernet cable 5€, Molex2pi 10€, Software 20€, Usb-Routing /Adapter 10€. Low-Profile and Highprofile is possible. 10€ Wifi/Bluetooth dongle



I will produce the first cards and cases for the Event in june to ask if there is interest

I have optimized it a little : )

I am curios if we can get at least 10 people interested.. Then I would give it a go because the os4 client programming needs a bit time and so money : )

10 people can be also "software" only.
This means you can use attach use a external Raspberry Pi. The software would be 20€ if download only and 29.90€ on a 16gb micorSD card.
