not really. i prefer not to have another incompatible offshot around.

in a number of ocassions people were asked to start projects no matter what. and also how do you want to determine if you are able to finish something you have not even made attempt at?

yeah right. dreaming is allowed, but actually doing something even if for ones own fun is prohibitable. if you want to hear my opinion it is the weird dreams and expectations that drive the community in the mud. rather than unfinished private projects. If they based their board on T10xx SoC, they could use AmigaOS or MorphOS. And - if my memory serves me right - original design included 68040 for full 3.x compatibility. |

afair original design was a lame 040 coupled to amiga hardware and a ppc decoupled from it but on a bus with few extensions the 68k couldnt even access. if you ask me this makes it rather questionable for warpos. in fact it doesnt even make sense for os4 or morphos as they have better dedicated hardware even if it doesnt fit in an amiga case. |

lets keep this thread ontopic about the amsterdam celebration and not spin of into some endless debate about some people that are apperently no longer attending.

I have a question for Dave Hayne, if someone could bring that question to him:
Assuming we have an FPGA expert, that already have a "3D realtime raytracing implemented in a FPGA" - hi-res, fully shaded- in FPGA (i've see the demo and it's quite impressive) what you also need to create a new complete video card for Amiga?
Thank you.
Btw, seeing all this Amiga brain together... would be great for a reunion.

Somebody have really done this !? Sounds interesting. Turn it into a real chip and add it into a SoC. Could it be reimplemented in a Xena chip ? | Using Cymtv required installing some accelerator program on Windows, which couldn't access certain internet port and didn't work.
I've been watching streams from Radzik from Periscope. Radzik making those streams !
It's shame it's Amiga 30 years party and nobody's making a video stream which is compatible with Amiga browsers and media players. _________________ Rock lobster bit me. think it is amazing they dont even put the stream link on their website so people can find it. I had to come here to ask, then someone told me.
And the stream is so buggy that even on my 8GB Intel i7 3770k it is very buggy.
Hope the amiga30 from america will be diffrent!. |

Yep, it's pathetic to be honest. In the days if TwitchTV this simply isn't good enough. I'd have quite happily paid £5 for a TwitchTV standard of streaming feed that didn't cut out every 5 minutes. It's the Amiga's 30th birthday for goodness sake!
Luckily I have just been to an actual 30th birthday BBQ so I haven't missed out too much Last edited by BigD on 27-Jun-2015 at 06:48 PM.
