| Hyperion had Gorky17 running on a sam on their table. I was told that hardware rendering needed to be added and then the plan is to get it released.

Why, what happened?
And can you tell us who was present at the Hyperion booth? Kind of relevant, given the amount of talk recently about "restructuring the company".
Edit: Thanks for the bit about Gorky 17, added it to the news item.Last edited by cgutjahr on 27-Jun-2015 at 11:37 PM. Last edited by cgutjahr on 27-Jun-2015 at 11:35 PM.

He didn't look too happy and didn't stick around after the show but perhaps that's just his way. On the hand he might not hsve been happy about what David Pleasance had to say. I'm sure there'll be video up soon.
The Hyperion booth was manned by the CTO and the CFO. You should have come and had a chat with them. |

Seriously? Asking who represented the company at a show is now considered crossing a line and warrants a dig?
Send my regards to Costel and Tim next time you see them.

| I managed to see some small part earlier today (lottery?) and the news said was that "Viva Amiga" is not yet officially finished (spokeperson said in about month or so).
Hope it helps.

I don't think Petro left in a very good mood. |
The stream crashed way before Petro took to the stage (that is if he spoke at all as he was not on the programme) and I only heard the first 8 minutes of David Pleasance before it crashed! To be honest I'm glad I screen recorded it because without editing out all the buffering and stream crashing it was pretty much unwatchable. Not exactly a great advertisement for the Amiga as a whole to be honest. Nor was the fact that Trevor's Powerpoint seemed to have been cut off at the sides and every time someone brought up their Apple laptop they got ridiculed
I think Haynie, Mical and Sassenrath summed up the 'outsiders' view of the current NG efforts. Basically, if you've got a great new tech idea that you want to launch you either use the current web technologies or you use Kickstarter. Haynie made it quite clear reinventing the Amiga Exec etc was not his idea of progress. It was Interesting to hear but not necessarily what we wanted to hear
Overall, what I heard was good, it's just that I didn't hear very much and I would have liked to have heard Jon Hare and Allister Brimble. Hopefully someone will upload some videos onto Youtube. I'm glad everyone attended had a good time (Petro aside ).Last edited by BigD on 28-Jun-2015 at 02:50 PM.
