Great news. The confidence regarding quality of the Amiga port just went skyhigh

You are now an official backer of Tower 57. |

Today's update shines a light on the biolab, but first a quick announcement for our Amiga-loving backers. We've reached an agreement with a developer to handle the Amiga ports, which means we can now make it an official stretch goal! The mark is set at a low 1.000€ (I really want to make it happen so I'll be pitching in some personal funds as a backer of my own project).
The dev who will be handling the port (with my support of course!) in the event that we reach the goal is Daniel 'Daytona675x' Müßener (who is known for coding the NG-Amiga Battle Squadron remake-ports, the Cherry-Darling games and who's currently also working on Warp3D). |
Great news
@pavlor - As Daytona said; please edit the headline since the AOS/MorphOS versions are now confirmed.Last edited by Overflow on 22-Aug-2015 at 09:50 AM.

| Yep the Amiga port is 100% confirmed, needs to reach its goal obviously. If it reaches it's goal it'll be €1000 for the Amiga port to go ahead. I've shared it on Facebook to help awareness. I really hope this happens. I've backed by the way. |

So we need to reach the kickstarter goal + 1000 euros? Last edited by kyle on 22-Aug-2015 at 10:21 PM.

Please consider backing this Kickstarter campaign, I have pledged 500 EUR from personal funds to help ensure that the AmigaOS 4.x version happens.
Much appreciated!

| Any reason AROS is excluded here?
I'd back it, but not if I can't use it. Given the fact the hardware platforms are less obscure and the original developers are more likely to be able to check it out it seems unusual not to have it as an "Amiga" target. |

thats maybe the problem, why use aros when you can have windows on your hardware. its already (maybe) on your platform.
although, i like aros and supporting it. _________________ nox's in the house! |

Well, same argument can be had for ppc systems. Heck, most mos machines are actually Macs, and Linux runs on all ppc systems. |

Mac PPC are unlikely to be supported by this game. Yosemite/El Capitan Intel Macs only is normally how new apps & games are developed.
If you've got a Wintel compatible AROS system however you might as well just run it on Windows. _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." John Lasseter, Co-Founder of Pixar Animation Studios |

If you've got an AROS compatible Windows machine you may as well just run it on AROS :p Works both ways.
Seriously though, thats pretty dumb "logic" you have there, especially on the back of you mentioning Intel macs. Not to mention the fact Linux is a target. Both x86.
Some people enjoy and use other systems than Windows. Who are you to tell them otherwise? |

I totally see your point, which is why I use my Amiga 1200 for module playing for example, even tho the PC next to it probarly does it better. It just something I ...enjoy?
As for AROS version, only Daniel can answer wether or not it entails much more workload for him etc. |

yes, i agree it is something i would like to have on aros, not arguing that, I'm just saying that it is available on he's platform if he want to play. i'm sure if the kickstarter successful there's a small chance it could be done. and if aros fans start contribute and let them know.. _________________ nox's in the house! |

Since Pavlor seems to be AWOL/probarly enjoying the nice weather, I figured Id just go ahead and make a thread with a correct headline. |
