As reverse engineering of software is not legal in some parts of US you can say that it's "probably illegal"
It's as legal as FFMPEG codecs you could say , or even more so because those codecs have active patents and patent system in place.
Before asking is it legal you should do a research on WRIT Media Group and then you will see legality of Kickstarter is last thing to worry about when three companies (Amiga Games Inc. Retroinfinity and Front Row Networks) are involved. Last edited by blizz1220 on 11-Sep-2015 at 07:17 PM.

There is entire thread about them and their masters. Enjoy!
100000 USD for something like UAE player for iOS/Android seems to be in line with findings and comments in above mentioned thread...

Prior to A1000 release, Amiga (Hi-Torro) was officially games and game peripheals ("Joyboard") company.
Eg. Mogul Maniac for Atari 2600. |

| @pavlor none game but did do computer
It has been over 20 years since a small American company first associated the Amiga brand with a computer. Although the word is an everyday part of the Spanish language and has reasonable success as a brand in the music industry, it would become synomous with 16-bit computing and high-quality graphics. In this article I will be analyzing the various images that have been used to symbolize the Amiga and examines how the designs represent the state of the Amiga market and the internal politics of the owners at the time.

| They have enough money to fund sponsorship on a NASCAR team, but need $100,000 from a kickstarter campaign to finish the software development?
That doesn't add up to me... |

Two drivers, for one race each, a year ago. Not quite the same as "sponsoring a NASCAR team".

| What's the point of sponsoring a team (even for one or two races) if you don't have anything to sell to people ? _________________ http://www.warpdesign.fr/ |

This is about selling publically traded stock, NOT about releasing actual product. The only product produced in 2 years is....PR. Seriously.

Ask virtually ANY PR consultant EVER, they'll ALL tell you that PR is more important than products.
ALL the big companies now have visions like "we enable your dreams" instead of "we supply the products". _________________ This weeks pet peeve: Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean. |
