@TrevorDick

Well done, sir. That's a complete X5000 system priced lower than a bare X1000 motherboard if I am reading correctly.

@TrevorDick

It will be possible to order not complete systems (Cyrus, ram, OS4.1, ect.) standalone?
I'm not interested in pre-build system

Hey, bigger drop than I expected.
Way to go Trev.

Can't make up my mind to go for this one, or wait for the quad core.

@thread

Amiga UK event was a missed opportunity to promote and educate people about the advantages of the new system.

I hope future events promote the system, benchmark videos, play high quality games in HD.

If UK sees an estimated £1800 system it could be advantageous to consider financing on a Hire Purchase basis.

paid monthly over 12 or 24 months.

I hope Amiga devs show systems live on the https://www.livecoding.tv/livestreams channel.

High quality games would be ported easily when we get a Unity3D export to AmigaOS plugin developed.

Amiga can have superior software if it focuses on what people need.

eg : some features for an advanced shell/CLI

Full Unicode utf-8
user programmable Code/TAB completion, name, path, argument, wildcard
spell check file folder
syntax highlight / formatting
Auto correct
Auto Path (dynamic) change according to changes in script file location
Directory stacking
script debug/ trace mode
Process substitution
Brace expansion / loops
short circuit operators eg if url ping fails
keystroke stacking
encrypted variables/functions files folder password protect
client/server commands
timed execution
client mic output to remote computer speaker
Advanced batch data merge facilities
Advanced argument parsing tools
Current location /next argument cycling - with version control notification
Pattern matched Alias
Alias with saved keystrokes (merge multiple commands in one Alias)
Copy remote code to clipboard
Shell manager - save / restore session / terminal session dvtm
pattern matched file size totals
File folder patterned view filter
HTML/XML link scraping
Blog post tools
remote screen grab
search kill named processes
Git path at prompt
Fusker style pattern match local & server eg path/[1-3]/file[1-16].[png/iff]
ICMP protocol / datagram switching
search kill named processes
Multi branch , sub branch directory creation
cd to path forward/back search history
shared redirect output
local vs remote file diff
ALSA / PulseAudio support
jq command-line JSON processor
online currency convert, weather
RSS feed/link pars/download
Factual/drake - workflow manager

@resurrected thread

September release...
October pre-release...

Well, it is now December. I know the answer is "When it's done."

I just want to know if the X5000 OS4.1FE beta testing anywhere close to being done at this point?

I've recently acquired enough to buy a X5000 and would like to at least pre-order.

So ~2300 EUR for EU customers paying the 20% UK VAT?

Not going to happen. Unity3D is a commercial product, and the AOS4 market is just too small.
