What's your upper limit?

If this turns out to be faster than than the X1000, in every aspect, then a second hand X1000 might be within reach.

I don't like criticising Trevor, since he's done amazing things, and put a massive amount of money on the table, but the advert, and it is an advert, is at best misleading. It says 64 bit, and dual core, but we all know that under AmigaOS4 these things are inaccessible. There should at least be an asterisk and a note at the bottom, or something "Support for these parts TBA".

It is a price, but compared to the X1000 it is a lot better!

Maybe the Sam 460 CR is more in your price range, comparing this to a fpga is like apples and oranges :)

you are right. its a trap. but whomever walks right into it, is he worth any support? judging by vox tale, he is not.

Congratulation on reach this point with the project! Many people forget the effort and work needed to bring a product to market, specially when its hardware and for such a small market as well. Not a bad price, still glad and pleased with my X1000 must really spend more time on the old girl (hard to believe its three years old) so I may skip the X5000 and instead save my money for all the software thats in the works and hoping it still happing. But for now good work A-eon!

the price can be explained and I assume that Trevor will not become rich when he has sold the planned numbers. It is because custom hardware sold in low numbers is expensive so people have to think if it is worth for them to spend that money on such a hardware or not.
