@Hypex

yeah that\s the real trick, isn't it? I'll let you know what happens :)

Should I open yet another thread for email or are you feeling generous? Any luck using YAM? Receiving it's fine... sending, I run into the same problem, a TLS error.

Well this is a general thread so why not kept it here unless you need to expand.

I use YAM. I have it setup for my ISP POP3 and Yahoo. But lately I've been getting receive errors.

TLS relates to SSL setup and security. What provider is it for?

@Hypex

I no particular order: Comcast, Insight/Time Warner, haven't set up for yahoo and my school account (uses Outlook web) yet but I will...

and I know TLS and SSL deal with security. That\s part of what i do at work. If I never see another Security+ exam it'll be too damn soon. :)

I gotta sort out mine. And it looks like similar error. It's kinda funny as I keep gettng emails from "Yahoo" saying my account will be closed and now I get TLS errors as if it has been closed!

Without a full YAM log it's hard to tell. Can YAM give a log? I haven't looked.

@Hypex

I tried a nightly build but that didn't help; I get the same error. Grrr. I'll be out of touch for a week starting tomorrow, but I'll give Kym a good seeing-to when I get back.

Err

That didn't sound quite right. I meant I'll look at her issues Email, and I'm trying to find a native office suite. Know of any?

@StantheAmigaMan

SimpleMail with the OpenSSL patch works with Gmail (POP3 or IMAP) send and receive. I showed the IMAP setup on AmigaOS4 (X1000) on my blog here:

http://amigax1000.blogspot.com.au/2015/11/simplemail-041-gmail-imap-on-x1000.html

Hope this helps.

@StantheAmigaMan

I hope you and Kym see eye to eye.

I tested the YAM nightly build and am sorry to say it worked for me which doesn't help you.

I take it you set it up using these settings?
http://www.timewarnercable.com/en/support/faqs/faqs-internet/e-mailacco/incoming-outgoing-server-addresses.html

It could be the SSL is too old. That YAM bug is huge. You may be forced to open up your own bug.

I see two options until it is resolved.
1.) Use webmail for now. Ouch.
2.) Open up a compatible account with free provider and divert your mail to it.

I actually do this myself, my main Yahoo acccount is forwarded to my ISP one.

For an office suite Wordworth Office.

Oh native. In that case AmiCygnix on the Depot would be the closest. Its not really native, not fully, as it runs on a kind of emulated Linux desktop. So looks and acts foreign. But still does the job. And it's PPC native at least.
