guys was chatting with the developer and shockingly only 2 americans and one canadian have registered for this NG Lotus style game

The game is in constantly updated and if you like the oriignal Lotus series of games then I guarantee you'll love this game on your NG Amiga or Linux!

download it at AmigaTec's homepage and if you like it consider making a doantion to get your custom key that will let you create your own tracks so people all over the world can play them! Also in the works is the ability tom play online with other users which is uber cool

Update:
- there are many many registered users from all over the world with the exception of US & Canada so that's why I'm pushing for users on the other side of the pond

- AmigaRacer is available on AmigaOS4.1, MorphOS, Windows, Linux & Raspberry Pi

@Overflow

I dont think it will work under OS4.1 Classic as the specs of the classic machine are too low.

It works great on a Sam 460 machine however and is constantly updated, so I suggest you donate and help support its development.

It is rough generalization, and generally these are plain wrong.

I do my best to buy everything that released nowadays for Amiga/OS4/MOS. Certainly I have an order of preference, so cannot buy everything at release time.

However yes, to get free stuff is great, but do not forget that give something
to the community is even better!

i tried OS4.1FE version on WinUAE with 2 situation..

first time it told me that it requires exec 53.x..
the game run but without audio with good speed but not fast.
Time istead run at normal speed and so, you cannot arrive at first checkpoint

the second time it works very well, without error and i can listen audio, very good quality, but the game is so slooooooooooooooooooooow

however you can see video:

only in US & Canada there are very small amount of registered users but developer (Mike) says there are many from other parts of world so just wanting to push those on the other side of the pond (actually reminds me to update main post)

@ Sieya
thanks for trying! maybe with some updates in OS4.1 emulation the speed will improve?

@klx300r

I've tried it and it runs fine on my A1 XE, however I wonder what the goal of this game is? Will it be like Lotus 2 or Outrun where you can actually finish the game? I think that is one mode that should be available with a fun ending.

Then multiplayer with highscores and what not...

It looks very promising though.

This game progresses very well!

Everyone should (consider) register it, I have done that now. It's well worth a donation!
It runs perfect on my Sam460ex...

Last time demoed the Playability was just like in the Pre-Review: Worse than on ice.
That sure has or should have been done.

Currently it looks like the goal of the game is to run out of time, doesn't it? But it's WIP and we'll see more soon-ish I guess.

@klx300r

I see people were tessting this under OS4.1FE emulation and found it slow. Yes that would be fun to do. Or maybe not. But since a Windows version exists no practical point to do it since the Windows version can be played on Windows hardware.

I tested it on my XE and it seems to run well. I do have some criticism to level at it. First takeoff. It doesn't like you holding the accelerator down or in my case cursor up. I had to let go then press it again before it repsonded. Very annoying when cars are flying past. Which leads me to...

Second. Cars flying past. Why are cars flying past me already when everyone has just started the race? Are they allowed to throttle it and I am not? And...

Third. Why am I slowed down when I hit a car? Other cars go through me and they aren't slowed down.

Then... If I reach the finish line. Nothing else happens. I press Escape but I don't want to escape the game.

Now this is on the easy setting so think the game needs some tuning there. Some things don't make sense as I pointed out. Yes I should be telling the author. Anyway this is all cutting into my Amiga Racer time so...

@klx300r

I think that your work was quite nice but...
Plz before adding any more feature keep the playability up!
Was really bad imho...the car moves as soos as I press a directional key but the animation wasnt displayed than after a second or so...not nice to see...
And worst, it seems that the car was running on ice, really not good...
Las thing, , 30 secs was really too few seconds for a checkpoint.

So, I think that AmigaRacer was quite a nice programming try and the gfx was nice but too much ripped(or that was the feeling), but before do anything else plz work on playability...
