Nope, it is a dual 970MP (the 970MP has two cores, so 2x970MP).

Its the only dual processor G5 PCIe model.

if my suppositions are right with the current kenel situation the P5040 2.2ghz will need in 4 threads about 35 secs for the test blend ... will see if my calcs will be right . i hope will be better

That sounds about right.
With faster memory, and better integer support the P5200 ought to keep up with a faster G5.

The thing I don't get is why you would want to run Blender on a non-SMP OS.

I do have Windows, OSX, and Linux boxes here for the stuff that requires brute force.

And considering that we are talking about significantly less time spent with your thumb...

OK, but that kind of side steps my point as to why you would want to run blender in an OS that will be a lot slower.**

if there are a guy with mos on x5000 who can share result will be good.

@tlosm

True, and it puts the X5000 in just the light I was hoping for.
Just as fast as the G5, but with PCI-e expansion, faster memory, and its new.

But if I was running Blender on it, it would be under Linux.
That program is a major resource hog.

If NG OS' ever support SMP...

The X1000 ought to come close.

If anyone is curious about why I'm so down on Tabor, well I just don't like the idea of a system with such drastically reduced specs being introduced after two very competent predecessors (regardless of the pricing issues).
