Then try TvPaint - it has similar UI (some requesters are nearly the same) and supports GFX cards.

I don't know about games but The X1k can run some 1080p clips very good with the latest altivec mplayer (both avi and mkv) while the linux side (when drivers and uvd work) can play all of them. AOS does that without even a uvd but is less smooth on some vids so on the AOS side it's still about using much more of the gpu. As far as Nova (games and realtime apps) is concerned Amicraft runs really fast here so I don't know if that is a test of its abilities. So we are talking here about a combination of an Amiga-dependent side with the continuation of the drivers and maybe investing in them even more and what doesn't include Amiga or AOS is newer graphics cards and the ability of apps and games to use them in an optimal way, while loosening the dependency on the cpu (especially important regarding the A1222) even further.
