@r-tea

No, it's not just the thread title (that's fine), but the text of posting #1. You just said please test Hexaco and provide an url. I've never heard about Hexaco before and w/o downloading and reading the "read me" from the archive I had no clue what it actually is about - is it a game, a productivity software, a virus, the killer app, #?.

It's not personally against you (really not!), but there are threads like this sometimes which just lack basic information but drop an url only, with "interesting", "please test", "have a look" or nothing at all. I missa bit of love/care with these posts.

@Zylesea

I got it. In case I've attached a short info to the topic.
Btw, did you tested it?
I already have a response that both last builds I have done crashes too.
Recently I managed to compile it with EC (m68k native) just to give it a try.
In order to do this I had to remove a part of code.
Hexaco (EC)

Yes (as I already wrote). It works flawlessly on MorphOS and is a useful thing, copied it to my dev directory. Thumbs up for that.

@ all
I have the very first response that the EC compiled version works smoothly on OS4.1
Can you confirm?
If yes then yeahhhhh!

I can have an early night finally.

I know I can't. But check the list.

@r-tea

EC version works here under OS4. That's suggest the crash was related to the code that updated the bits gadgets at the bottom, perhaps studt that area for NULL pointer access or such.

Actual the crash is related to an atempt to reference 0x00000030 if that gives you any clue

@broadblues

That does give a clue as 0x30 is code for number "0" and thus it has been sending a character to a string function. Been discussing it on AmigaE list. There should be a fix soon.

Really? Nothing out of place? Does the binary display function correctly as you slide up and down?

And there is the version after corrections suggested on AmigaE mailing list.
Hexaco hopefully fixed

@r-tea

It's working here now on OS4 with no crashes at all.

Well done. Working well. Now you just need to provide the complete package again.

@Hypex

Thank you.
I want to add simple preferences via tooltypes, but I can't find a simple (as simple as possible) example of handling tooltypes.
I found 'afc/ToolType.m' module. It make tooltypes really easy to implement, but it also seems to have ugly bug causing EC yelling about unmatched parentheses while they're matched. I can't overtake it for now.

@r-tea

It's bizarre for a module to generate an error like that. I've never tried that one myself. You could use icon.library directly also.

@Hypex

Finally I managed in other way. I used "amigalib/argarray" module.Now my program uses tooltypes for GUI configuration.
Can you test it?
Hexaco
icon
The icon contains all supported ToolTypes.

Sorry, was away for the night. Didn't get a chance to test. If no else has reported back I'll test it and return my results.
