@mjohnson

There is no DMA code in the pre-release driver. The only "bootarg" in the AOS4 pre-release boot is to set the level/amount of debugging output to the serial port. Don't turn it on unless you want your machine to act like an old Pentium

And for those of us who haven't even got the hardware yet... it seems even worse. I'll have to wait a bit longer as I'm trying to get into a new house at the moment. But after that... I think I may be set to get my A1 finally.

Until then, I've still got the A3000 and just bought AmigaForever 6.0...

@MagicSN

Oh yes plz do this, however I'm really impressed how good the emulation of 68k already works, just took my complete Dopus 4 Install from my A4000 to the A1, and it works :) Even with all the nice Arexx scripts etc. it just works. But having OS 4 native software is of course much better ;)

The only problematic 68k App I have tested so far is Diavolo, both the 3.2 and the 2000 releases seems to have problems restoring data, both hang after some seconds.

Will try today the Samba Release, the smbfs Tool already works fine. So again a BIG thank you to Hyperion, I did not expect to get such a working OS already!

@all in Italy

Just a short note: the AOS4-PR CDs just reached Italy, and they will be sent to the end-users in the next hours/days.

Have fun !

Ciao
