| Hi
IGNORE REST
I did not add .mov to end of file name and it did nothing without it.
Thanks for other suggestions though
--------------------------
I am trying to get Perfect Paint to output a quicktime movie on my new Aros emulated system and cannot get Quicktime movie export to work.
It goes through the process and looks like it has completed ok and nothing appears. I know this works as I have used it many times in the past but am I missing a library or something.
Any help would be great as usual, thanks.
Normal animation export works ok, files save ok, just quicktime export fails.
edit: I have XPKmaster.library v5.2 installed, but it did not complain when I had wrong one. Last edited by clusteruk on 01-May-2012 at 01:49 PM. Last edited by clusteruk on 01-May-2012 at 01:48 PM. | I do hope someone has the answer as I need to create movie files from 24 bit lightwave animation. _________________ Amiga 1000, 3000D, Aros Nvidia PC, and an Aros powered Rasberry Pi owner and user. http://www.imica.net |

Does it have to be processed in Perfect Paint?
Does it have to be QuickTime?
If not why not try ffmpeg
Or even load the anims into blender and use that (on your X1000 ofcourse ) (sequence editor loads a very large number of formats including anim5 and other amiga related formats) (blender can save to a quicktime container if need be)

Hi
Note I have a Macbook pro with Blender 2.5 and could do this in a heart beat, and my X1000 will not run blender no 3D.
No I want to try doing a really cool video with just Aros and 68k software.
The annoying thing is I have done it loads of times before.

I've never used PerfectPaint but I'll definitely check it out. On AOS4, I've used ffmpeggui to assemble LightWave frames into an animation, though in some other format other than Quicktime. I bet plain old ffmpeg if that's on AROS can do such a thing from the command line if there is no GUI for it, but to be honest I don't know how to do it (as in exactly what to type).
While I'm not being too much help I am monitoring this thread because I figure it'll teach me something as you get this sorted. _________________

Have you tried it using vanilla OS 3 setup to rule out possible AROS issue? _________________ Free IRC client for Amiga: www.amirc.org |

I have done on JanusUAE many times before hence why I think it may be a library issue.
@mbrantly
I will just get my Quick Video app working again as it has a bulk image loader and use Mencoder to create any files. Last edited by clusteruk on 30-Apr-2012 at 10:31 PM.

Thats not a bad idea, however I am just really curious why it no longer works.
However, I tried it and of course Lightwave does not output jpegs, hence the reason for using Perfect Paint.
edit Just checked and lightwave will output jpegs, how cool is that. Last edited by clusteruk on 01-May-2012 at 12:56 PM. Last edited by clusteruk on 01-May-2012 at 12:54 PM.

Datatype issue? (assuming PerfectPaint uses datatypes, I dont know myself, its not really my art package of choice for 68k). |

Doubt its datatype but could be wrong.
However, Lightwave can apparantly output Jpegs but they are scrambled each time.
Sheeesh
SUSSED it
Need to add .mov at end of file name Last edited by clusteruk on 01-May-2012 at 01:49 PM.

The reason for using PerfectPaint apart from it being an Amiga app, it also takes the animation frames and allows indivudual editing of them throughout the scene, very cool. _________________ Amiga 1000, 3000D, Aros Nvidia PC, and an Aros powered Rasberry Pi owner and user. http://www.imica.net |

Wow, I didn't even know that Perfect Paint would output Quicktime movie files. That's awesome, I'll have to give it a try. Do I need anything special - datatypes, libs etc?
