PM Spammer caught

| A spammer sending PMs got in this morning, I banned the IP, but still got 2 PMs myself, so guess she or he managed to send away quite many.
anyway, the user it concerns is sarahbeby, so if you have a PM from the user in question, it is spam.

does it help banning the IP? Most IPs are dynamic anyway AFAIK, so tomorrow he might be able to send again doesn't he? Or can you record all the IP from it's providers pool? |

Yes, banning IP is just a temporary fix, but it works against an ongoing spam-attack.
Banning a whole range of IPs, like a whole ISP, isn't usually a good idea, since it will likely cause trouble for other members as well.
